    Default Civic VTEC exhaust advice

hey guys how ya doin?! i was wondering to change the original exhaust of my Civic 2005 VTi with a one that wud make it sound like an F1 car or sumthn like that, i dont want a heavy sound, i once saw a civic 2001 that had an exhaust sounding almost like an F1, what mods does my car need to be able to sound like that?

i dun hav xperience regarding aftermarket exhausts but i think that the shape of the exhaust tip u choose fr ur car has a lot ov impact on its sound..large sized exhaust tips will produce heavy and growling sounds while the ones wid sleek shape vil sound like the ones u want..if u r still serious..i recommand that u hav ur intake resonator tuned to get that xact sound..

get an Apex Exhaust system. 15-20k
    OR
Get a the more expensive mufflers locally avalible somewhere around 3500.
Get 2.5" piping done. Axle Back without any resonators and you should be good.
Dont hesitate to pay a little more for the piping. 2500+3500=6000

if u hav 35k then go four an evo 2 greddy catback that is bolt on and branded, but it sounds like an evo 8, which id prefer any day over an f1 sound... but an f1 sound is pretty imposibble on a stock vti

hey guys im not a new "weed" here k? and yeah i knew i am sounding crazy and childish in this topic but my cousin who owns an S2000 has an APEX exhaust system which makes the car sound pretty much like an F1, and i forgot he also has it turbocharged, and im ready to make my "stock" VTi into a modified one by doing some engine stage 1 mods and lowering the car and not touching the exterior of the car.

As Ahad paaji said, you're talking of a civic here.

S2000 has a pretty sweet stock exhaust note to begin with, so to obtain a good sound from that engine is just a matter of slapping on a new resonator and a catback. With the Civic, you'd need to find a good enough resonator to make your car sound "good" and unlike a fat man farting, which is the sound we mostly hear from Civics in Pakistan.

I'm guessing you'd need a resonator, and a 2 or a 2.25 inch diameter catback exhaust. 2.5 would be unbearable and would make your car "pass wind"

Put a customer Honda V8 in your car. They have a few spare ones lying around now that Super Aguri is not in F1 anymore :-)
