Default New Civic gets unbranded tyres !

I was at Honda City Sales today, saw the new Accord and CRV, but also noticed the Civic there wearing some 'Euro Star' tyres instead of the usual Bridgestones (though still 195/65R15)

A google search produced zero results for any such tyre brand.
Otherwise i would have taken pictures/noted the country of origin. Lagta hai Honda Atlas is increasing prices and reducing costs?? Yeh kya scene hai!

Isnt Euro Star General Tyres? I rememeber seeing an ad somewhere in Defence.

They were giving bridgestone before these on the Oriel model, I wonder if they've changed the oriel too?

only 15 inch tyres on honda accord
You are mistaken, Accord is coming with R17 as I saw it just now at the Honda Showroom.

Just bought civic vtec and it has Eurostar and they are made by General Tyres, Pakistan. It does not say that anywhere on the tyre but found out from Honda Point in Defence and all variants are coming with Eurostar. I plan to run the tyre for 5k and see how it goes, will report back, btw I am looking for stock OEM 2008 Civic rims, please let me know is someone is selling.

@YZFR1 i will b buying the new oriel in 2 weeks and will b seling the rims but i live in pindi so its no use.

anyway coming to the topic i am disappointed with honda's decision. Anything less than Bridgestone, michelin or dunlop is a disgrace to the civic.

actually i used these EUROSTAR tyres and they have better grip than generals XP2000II, their tread is also better, but have no comparison to Dunlop or Bridgestone as Bridgestone is one hell of a company, my civic 2005 VTi came with the Dunlop SP SPORTS 300, but i prefer Bridgestone, i am using Bridgestone in my City 2003 and they are excellent. EUROSTAR is a Pakistani manufatctured tyre I THINK, if this is true then i think we should promote this as its a step by our automobile industry

As far as i know Eurostar is basically a new model General tyre, the ones for the Alto cost 1900rs a piece. That is what i saw in the tyre market.

general walay bhi taiz ho gai hain, they eliminated their original brand name GENERAL completely in new so called EURO STAR. Imagine they dont have any website even...rediculus...kya quality ho gi..everybody can well imagine.

They infact tried to copy TOYOTA strategy which they used by making LEXUS without their original brand name TOYOTA.

I also saw Eurostar tyres on New Corolla.

And they are made by General Tyres, confirmed.

As everyone right pointed out, EuroStar is manufactured by General, on the tyre itself there is only a small 'G' sign representing General Tyres, all of this has been done so that people tend to belive that its some Euro company rather than the usual General Tyres. The Bridgestones that came in the previous models costed 5000-5500, these cost 3400-3600! So they actually cost less yet Honda Atlas keeps on increasing the price!

if the new corolla also comes with eurostar then it must be a binding on the car companies to use locally manufactured tires.

@isloo24 i also have civic vti M/T, i did a lot of searching for good tires... There is Pirelli in islamabad, but they are costly
    about rs. 12000 per tire.

Ive bought Bridgestone Potenza Re001 Adrenalin. Great tires and also affordable at Rs. 8000 per tire.
