Default Best tires for 2008 Civic

    Hi!

im going to buy a new Honda Civic oriel 2008 model. Can somebody please help me in buying the tires.

I personally want to buy 215/55 R16 for my car. Will they fit?? suggest what is best.
As regards the brand it should be Bridgestone, Michelin or Dunlop. My budget for tires is 25,000.
Also, what will i get if i trade in the euro star tires (195/65 R15) that come in stock??

    Help me out guys???

    Dear Sunny

    Welcome to PW

Yes the tyre you mention 215/55/R16 can be fix in ur car but u have to change the rims as well ... but u r buying a top of the line model of civic which come with the stock alloy rims of 15" so u just change the tyre with dunlop .. but stick to 15" do not change the rims...

and yes u can exchnage ur stock tyre with a brand u mention and save some money from ur budget ... from any tyre shop @ ur city...

forgot to mention that i will also change the rims to 16 inch ones. i have additional 20,000 set aside for rims(besides trade in of stock rims "15 inch"). so u can suggest tire sizes in 16 inch.

Hey is your civic manual or prosmatec?

And please post the pictures of your ride after installing the new tires and rims and as for the brand, Go only for DUNLOP because its simply the best for the 1.8 civic you have got

if u want to drive on rough roads, then i prefer Bridgestone any time, if u want to drive on medium carpeted roads, then Dunlop, and if u want to drive on Highways and motorways, then yokohama.

I have visited nearly 8-9 tire shops in pindi and islamabad. i liked the pirelli dragon but they r expensive...and finally decided on bridgestone potenza. Here r the top three tires.

    Dunlop SP 9000, 205/55 R16
    Rs. 6500 per tire.

    Pirelli Dragon, 205/55 R16
    Rs. 11,000 per tire

    Bridgestone Potenza Re-001, 205/55 R16
    Rs. 7500 per tire.

the Re-001 is top of the line in bridgestone and affordable. I still havent found nice rims...the search for rims goes on.
@robby180....ofcourse its a manual. its no fun to drive an auto.. Will post pics when i have installed new tires and rims...
