Most likely by April 2006. Prices should be in the following ranges:

    EXi (1.4L engine) - RS 1,150,000 +/-
    VTi (1.8L engine) - RS 1,300,000 +/-
    CCTDi (2.2L diesel engine) - RS 1,300,000 +/-
Hybrid - Unlikely to come to Pakistan

    Options for VTi will include:

    - Leather seats
    - Moon roof

The DVD Naviation system and LCD screen will be missing from the car. Most likely so will the cruise control, and volume control options on the steering wheel. They might replace the steering with a redesigned 4 spoke steering without any options like they did with the current Civic.

This is based off generic information passed to dealerships worldwide. We will most likely get the Japanese Civic and so will Thailand.

hay cylestyne! if u see the japanese model of civic 2006, it dosnt have the navigation system and the LCD, also the the steering wheel is simple without any options. I think this is is the model that wud be introduced in pakistan. As far as price is concerned , as i know the honda has not incresed the price of new civic much cuz i think the price of the old shape was also around $14000. (correct me if iam wrong)Thnx

    Hi,

Yes this is the first time Honda is introducing a Diesel engine. It supposed to highly efficient. But lets see how that plays out, as again it is the first time.

The price of the new Civic is MORE than the current one.

And for the DVD-Nagivation system, the Japanese version has it, but as an addon. Even the current Civic Ferio has a DVD navigation system, you just need to ask for it (in Japan). And the Japanese version -does- have audio and cruise control buttons on the steering wheels. Those are standard driver safety features over there.

But what Honda Atlas over here does is, strip quite a few features out. Like cruise control, audio control, ABS on standard models (like there's no ABS on EXi over here). They also redesign the steering wheel to be cheaper. Otherwise if you've driven the Thai Civic (which is basically what we have), the steering wheel has proper Honda Emblem on it compared to the cut pattern on our steering wheels. Plus it also has audio & cruise control buttons. Oh and the engine that we receive is about 100CC smaller than the American/Japanese counterparts. However I believe this time they'll be in sync with the rest of the world.

For removing the DVD navigation system, I don't really blame Atlas motors because we don't really have that service here. However the Japanese Civic has a reverse gear camera which is tied to the LCD screen, so thats a disadvantage for Pakistanis to be deprived of that feature.

Trakker who was offering GPS navigation, doesn't anymore and have no plans to relaunch it until the end of 2006. Even then I doubt they'll very acurately map our major cities. Our roads and our statistics need to progress a whole lot before GPS navigation takes off here.

There's no reason for the diesel model not to come. Who knows, maybe we'll end up having the hybrid as well? But that's extremely unlikely.

Nahin bhai, don't hope for the hybrid version here, honda atlas didn't even introduve the civic NGV which is a dedicated CNG car and it's engine is especially designed for CNG and not like suzuki which just fits CNG kits on engines meant for petrol. It would have been a huge success but these morons just can't figure it out.

The 2006 Civic (Pakistani) will most likely have SRS airbags. Atlas knows now that people are expecting more for the premium price they're paying.

OK--how do we know for sure that they'll be launching the civic in Pakistan next year? I mean they could just carry on with the last model and get away with it...really wanna know cuz then I'll just wait for the new civic...

New City should launch by the end of January or begining of February 2006. It's not really new per-say; just a facelift.

Price should increase and no don't book it before January. They just stopped new orders if I'm not mistaken, so if you do book it you'll most likely get a left over model.

Book it in January to be safe.
