my civic 1.8 manual CNG also gave me egine check light on but it turned off after few km of driving . and after few week again it turned on then i changed my battery acid and it turned off again but m still worried . my civic does 110km on Rs 380 of cng and have taken it to 160km n it can still go further . i think it can touch 200km barrier
as far as engine check light is considered u should consult honda work shop .

Check engine light normally comes up with a faulty CNG installation. One of the wires must be wrongly hooked

dear i hv cng in my car for 3 years... n i didnt get the light b4.... n listen 1 thing tht it is giving on petrol also.... i also think tht there is some exhaust problem bcoz the exhaust feels like tht it is blocked... i hv direct piping from manifold... but the sound is too much low as compare to other's civic...

and listen 1 more thing tht it gives 85 km/cng cylinder in city of approx 330 rupess... and if i go on the highway...it gives 130 km/cylinder...

Check engine light signifies that something is not right. All the sensors in the car have a specific purpose.
Take the car to any capable mechanic, who will first run diagnosis and determine the fault code. Depending on the condition of the engine and code type, he will give you the estimate and time to solve the problem.

honda engines are pretty long lasting, but have a common problem related to heating. If you car is heating up along with other problems, then i suggest an engine swap. Else you can get the codes and fix the problem.

FYI: Just right next to the Ecu, underneath the glove box, you have a socket, where you can take a wire and insert in two sockets, that will bring the car into diagnostic mode. Then the light will blink in several intervals. You can count and determine the code yourself too.

    Hope that helps!!

Go to Deinfa Motors on Korangi Road.

They will connect a diagnostic tool to the ECU and tell you what the Error code means.
