    Default Honda Civic 40k service

I would like to know opinions from the members on 40k service by Honda. I have a Civic Vti 06 (previous shape). Need to know your feedback on the following.

    1. Is transmission oil need to be replaced ? Many mechanics are against it
    2. Is throttle body and tappet adjustment/ service required ? my past experience, in other cars, has been bad as the fuel consumption goes up & torque reduces.
    3. Which service center is better ? Honda I-9 or Honda pit stop Aabpara in Islamabad.

    Thanks in advance.

@hondafan: i dont know about the other points but yes its necessary to change the transmission oil after 40K. what mechanic is against it? it's recommended by honda even in their service manual. you risk damage to your gear box if the oil is not changed on time.

1)yeah sure u do hav to change it at 40k kms.
2)throttle body nd tapped adjustment is neccessary, atleast get the throttle service if not the tappits.nd if properly done, tappits adjustment wont decrease the power, they wud rather increase it.but very few ppl know how to do it properly,i got mine messed up once, then just a month ago,i got tappet adjustment done again nd its fine now.

    3)dnt know.

Thank u all for the replies. I was just concerned as our mechanics are more experts in destroying things, as mentioned by ahmadbila, and making money.

do anyone of the members have any opinion about Honda service I-10 vs Honda pit stop Aabpara Islamabad ????
