Default Honda Civic: Performance difference b/w EXi & VTi

Civic freaks ... what do u think? If VTi is 10 in performance then what would you rate an EXi?

I have an EXi'00(old shape) and a VTi'04(current shape) and i still think an EXi is not very far behind a VTi. What do u guys think?

EXi is a 6.75 compared to a VTi. The difference is massive, the DOHC and VTec technologies aren't a fair comparison.

Oops sorry I meant SOHC, not sure where DOHC came from LOL. VTi is a different breed of horse entirely even though the underlying technologies are similar. The current VTi (2005) packs more horsepower than the EXi, plus there are several other factors. Again like I said previously EXi and VTi (stock) aren't a fair comparison.

I think you got that backwards. EXi is easier on fuel, VTi is blood thirsty. Try ramming the accelerator hard, you'll see how fast the needle drops

Yar i donno .... i got a old shape 2000 EXi n its pretty decent. Ive done around 170 and there was still lotsa room in it. I have a 04 VTi as well n I think its just slightly better than the EXi

Cylestyne: Dont u think 6.75 is too low? I think its around the 8 mark

I have both so I'm not really biased. EXi is a low performer when you compare it to VTi. There's also a difference of 20 horsepower in the middle, so it's not just the technology.
