    Default Honda Civic 96 Modification suggestions needed!

    helloo,
    ive recently purchased a honda civic 96 with a 1333000KM done, and now im thinking of modifying it, so can you help me with the following parts which my stock civic could support.

    1.Down piping... how many inches?
    2.Exhaust (Local or Branded)?
    3.Headers
    3.Cold Air Intake
    4.Turbo
    5.Intercooler (if necessary)

    yeah but there are different engines that came in STOCK cars such as D15, D16 etc

    In my view, no point turboing that. Get D16 or B16 + for turbo..

    bhai to go zamzama chamak pati line .. there r many shops there ask at few shops u will have idea wht to install .. things r available branded and unbranded .. depanding on ur budget ..

    D16 is 1.6 not 1.5 (as far as I know)

    Haan man you're right, By the way in 96 theres D16 so what do you suggest? i hope you wont say go to ZAMZAMA like the other guy said..

    you need to search first.. First thing, u throw on a turbo on a 13,33,000 driven civic, the engines gna say bye bye, secondly u cant run intake and header with a turbo, u need a whole fuel system,management, new tune, and yes the intercooler is necesary. Its gna cost atleast 1 lak for a complete jugari junkyard turbo kit, or u can buy a complete branded kit for 2.5 laks frm america

    if you have 96 Vti it has got D16 (SOHC Vtec)
    if you have 96 Exi it has got D15 (SOHC non-Vtec)

    EXI is non-vtec. I mean the engine (base) isn't good platform for modification. I suggest you do some research as Ahad said and start the work. Get a D16 or B16 engine and then turbo it. You sound like an amature at the moment who doesn't know much about how all this stuff works. I would suggest you swap D15 for B16 and keep it NA, like that less mentainance and you'll have to do less work on it compared to turboing it. Ask Ahad, I'm sure he had to go through alot with his D17 Turbo setup. It's a thrill indeed but comes at a cost of money, time and effort.

    @ ahad
    dude so do you have any idea how much b16 engine will cost me??
    and the overall estimate?
    and youve got it wrong all the way its done 1 lac 33 thousand kms its not 13 lac 33 thousand.!

    no problem if i cant install the turbo but what about rest of the mods? stock mod wud be slow i think wanna put sum good stuff..!

    You don't necessarily need VTEC to make a fast car. You could make a non-VTEC car as fast as a VTEC one.

    @aks

    Just go the typical route.

    Get an air intake, a header and a **** can exhaust. You'll definitely be faster but don't expect your car to be a rocket. It's gonna be negligible on your D.
