    Well it depends how much u can spend...u can find a kit for as low as 30k and as expensive as 175k. Rest till 8-9 PSI the stock internals can hold the turbo setup...above that u definitely hav to upgrade the internals.

    a reliable and powerfull stock internal setup should include..

    -chipped ecu

    -big injectors...450cc is the ideal size from boost till 16psi

    -a nice intercooler

    -bov

    -a bigger fuel pump

    -fpr

    -manifold + piping

    -and finally a nice t3 sized turbo and external wastegate if needed.

    would cost around 70k for everything.

    @wonder_guys statement. its not psi that kills yr motor. its the power...a stock internal engine can take up to 200-210whp safely. weather it be 6psi from a nice big performance turbo...or 15psi from a small turbo. hope u get the point...

    oh and btw...one will also need a clutch upgrade...if they want to turbo their car.

    Dear Spano,
    A great thread for dolphin lovers ...

    I am gradually getting attracted toward this vehicle & planning to buy civic 95 but need feedback from you whether its a good car. Wat about the maintenance cost for this car. Pls note that i have to travel frequently due to my official work so if its a NAZUK vehicle it will not work for me.

    My budget is around 4~4.5. Whether we will be able to find a good car around? Looking forward for guidance from ur side.

    Thanks
    Hamad Najam

    Ahmad_bila: No alteration required for d16 in 95 civic. complete work would cost around 45 to 50k.

    I would recommend you to go for d15b... it would cost u same around 50k, d15b is more powerful than d16y5 and d16y7 (tht is used for 96-00 vti). d16z6 is comparable to d15b, however its rare to find d16z6 and parts are not easily available in mkt.

    Welcome Moak89, nice to see you here. we really need you to be here all the time.

    @hamadnajam,
    its a very good car. the suspension is not designed for offroad. in other words.
    If you daily running is 200 km on motor way.... the car will be happy..

    but a daily run of 40 km on offroad, you will have to repair your car's suspension every month.

    as a whole, its a very good car.

    @imtiz_ahmed,
    every one is looking for this model, if you find any please also let us know.

    agreed, and thats because, i would prefer to go for a engine swap with B16A rather than to put TURBO on my D15b.

    I dont want to be a FX of turbo category if i cant spend around 50k

    @ Spano

    It means i should not go for dolphin as along with good roads occasionaly i have to travel on some really bad roads as well. This seems to be a bad news .

    Wat you can now suggest me in this scenario? Budget can be streched to 5.

    Its not so that as soon as u go on bumpy roads it wil ruin ur suspension....if u have to use bumpy roads in routine then suspension of every car will be ruined....for civic it will b bit early for corolla bit later but it will n dats wat i guess Spano actually meant to say. Ocassional traveling will not b a big problem.

    Thanks bro, i hope SPANO meant to say that.

    Pls also suggest about the maintenance cost associated with dolphins. Is it too high (as its an 14 year old baby now) or average and car's reliability. I would not prefer to go to mechanic shop every week.

    In most of the cases when 2nd Hand cars r bought one has to spend some money on it to make it according to taste atleast. And if u r taking care of it then it will not gonna give u any problem it goes with all the rides...wat they need is care. I dont know for wat purpose u need it u want it to b ur family car or modify it. In both the cases maintainance cost differs to an extent.

    D15b has a higher HP rating than D16 if um not wrong D16 is smwhere 127 HPs and D15b is 130 stock. Its easily available and a powerful machine.
