Default SHAKY RPM ON PETROL CIVIC EXI 98

RPM of Civic 98 remains shaky on petrol but on CNG it is static at one point.

My Friends coure have this problem it has a factory fitted CNG, works fine with CNG put on petrol the car vibrates. as if the RPM is not stable, he gets it check from the mechanic for few days it works well, after than the same problem.

But your is EFI engine - the problem can be of poor fuel system setting.

Does the RPM go up and down while the car is Idling and the Engine sounds like it's struggling a bit? OR

Does the RPM remains below the 800 mark and the car vibrates as it is about to shut down?

If it's the first case then you need to go to any Electrician and Check your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor),You will most likely need to replace it,

If it's the second case then all you need to do is simply go to a Mechanic and ask him to set the Idle of your car a bit high until it's between the 800 to 1K Area,All it will require is just a little advancing of the Engine timing or Setting the Throttle Cable to a certain level,

bhaijaan masla hi koi nahin... zingdagi aasaan hai... change ur throttle body with all sensors... cost max 2000 rupees in peshawar... or may be less...

or just change ur IAC VALVE (Idle Air Control) Which is attatched under throttle body... Which controls the acceleration during car is start n stand still... it controls the rpm autometically...

but first try to clean thn valve very finely through petrol or carburator cleaner... n c the setting b4 open it... m dam sure tht it is 100 % jam with rust...

after clean it connect this valve with its original connector by placing it in ur hand n swithed on the ignation n c tht valve is working or not... if not soo its must be jam... or the coil has burned... or the wiring is damaged...

i completely describe u the whole procedure...

do try to clean it first.. it is very simple... but remember pls c the timing of valve b4 open it... ok...
