    Default Info required regarding xli tunning

    Hi all,i want to know that corolla xli really needs tunning,as civic and many other car got tappets which needs arjestment and throtle body cleaning.last time i took my car to toyota walton motors they changed the plugs,air filter and charged me 500rs.So all i want to know is that its necessary.My car do nocking sometimes during pickup on cng....whats that?also do tell me any good machanic.

    i m facing morning start problem with my car.It start missing and engine get off,after 4-5 times doing this it starts and run fine all the day.All i want to know what's the real problem and any good mechanic

    check that your circuit opening relay is actually working, it operates the fuel pump in the tank, once while cranking and then the AFM latches it to ground to keep it running, I beleive that your CNG (******* mechanics and fitters) did not isolate the fuel pump circuit, and now is super weak.

    This engine uses non adjustable bucket tappets, so if your valve clearances go tight - you need to remove and rebuild the whole head, (crack smoking toyota engineering at its best),

    It may also be a weak AFM itself.. I would check the usual first, spark, fuel and compression - any engine needs these three to run..

    no spark - dead crank angle sensor
    no fuel - dead fuel pump
    no compression dead engine

    Im running my Xli on Petrol only! and hasn't given anyprobs like this! though it has given many other kinda probs !

    atf = automatic trans fluid, I wrote AFM - which is Air flow meter, it measures the air your engine is breathing in.

    You need to isolate your fuel pump wiring - so when running on gas your petrol system is not running, it will only run when you switch to petrol. at the moment your car is wired to run the pump constantly but the fuel injectors are not spraying hence the pump is continously running at full pressure for no reason.
