Default CNG Consumption Average of Corolla XLi

    Hi guys,

Just need some quick suggestion from experts and users of Corolla Xli that what's the fuel consumption average of it over CNG with 55KG cylinder while driving within city.

Just bought a 2004 Rolla XLi, CNG was installed in it 6 months before.

I tried searching for any existing post pertaining to this topic but didn't find any.

    Please suggest.

Around 115 km/Cylinder within city with AC... but simply you can't exactly calculate cng average in city drive... it'll give exact figure on long drive...
ITS BETTER TO KEEP SMALLER NEW CARS RATHER THAN OLDER BIG ONES...

I have SE Saloon, its a 1.6, it does around 125km/55kg cylinder with A.C on all the time. Xli is 1.3 it should do more than that. Tyre size and driving style also matters a lot in getting better milage.
    be happy.

Keeping the factor in mind that you doesn't stop for a long time anywhere with AC ON and mantain a speed on the average 60 - 70 KM/h within Cit, i talked to many CNG technicians and ALL OF THEM told me it would not go beyond 100 - 110. They also suggested me not to do any "Chair Chaaar" with the kit as it wouldn't help me increasing the average.

Like Aqua suggested his Saloon 1.6 is doing 125km, many people claim better average.

The real thing that matters is CNG in my car is not installed for a long time, it has completed only 7 - 8 months . . .

Default Long distance Cng advise on motorway

It is better not to mess up with kit if you are not satisfied with cng consumption. First you check different cng stations gas quality. Within city my xli 2007 gives me 125 kms whereas on motorway while going from lahore to peshawar, i get off at burhan, cross railway bridge and take cng from alif laam meem suad station and it gives me average of about 180 kms with AC. Then i get off from bhera and get fill from chan cng, that cylinder gives me avg of about 165 kms, while coming back from lahore, my tested cng close to mohlanwal more gives me around 150~160 kms. I can confidently tell u that gas quality is somewhat better in potohar/pindi/bhera region and it would definatley give u more mileage than any gas station on lahore-multan road

Hi, get your CNG tuned up from Enercon at Kashmir Road. Contact person is Naeem, and his cell is 0300 2242 025. I had CNG fuel consumption problems and got it tuned from him today after he was recommended by few friends. He also solved my CNG to Petrol conversion problem easily. Total he charges for computerized CNG tune up is Rs. 350.
