    Default Brake problem in new corolla or all corollas?

    I know about the miserable condition the brakes are in, in the new corolla, despite what many people claim. What I want to know is that, is this problem persistant in the 2001 corolla 2.0D as well?

    the problem with the brakes is with every corolla except the Indus one(90s)...the problem in the new corolla is because of stiff suspension(wieght is not distributed to the front when brakes are applied), hard compound tires and large discs with small callipers.

    Apart from the brakes,
    In the history of Pakistan Auto industry, this always happen, whenever a model is changed or something new is introduced, old models become more valuable and people tend to like them more for many reasons (Brakes in this case)

    I remember exactly on the launch of Indus corolla in 1992-93, people used to say that these are kaghaz (hell lot of other comments as well) and not comparable to old ones. now that indus corolla is valuable coz new model is supposedly bad. wait for 5 10 years and this model will be considered even better compared to the corolla of that time

    Just a thought

    @spectra
    i totally agree with you,,,,u see its the psycology of people of pakistan that they are basically "naashukray"",,i.e. they tend to hate and disheart every new thing which comes in their way,,,,,like u talk to anyone and he will say "86 corolla" ,,,i dont know what the hell is with that model,,that it seems that if i buy a brand new BMW and go to someone else to show my new ride he will say ""hmmmmmm,,its a good car but not good as 86 Corolla ""

    same is the case with our beloved Civic and Suzuki,,,,,i cant believe some people still talk about and like the "FX" ...

    i dont know why ??????
    nothingh last forever,,even cold november rain.

    I have faced that 86 corolla issue a lot wheni had Sunny 88.

    even that sunny is now more valuable then that time when i bought it.
