    Default ]]]]] Problems in New 2009 Corolla

    NOTE: Only 2009 Corolla Owners

    Discuss the problems that you have faced with your 2009 new corolla. I am not here to solve them but let's see how many 2009 corolla owners are satisifed with their car. Only Corolla owners comments will be accepted not honda fan boys or anti-corolla peoples.

    [toofast edit] This is not a Corolla/Civic comparison thread. This thread will help future car buyers. I would recomemend same type of threads for Civic, Baleno or any other car owners too. All Civic or non Corolla owners please stay out of this thread. i will delete any stupid/unrelated replies from this thread. We need input from current gen. Corolla owners only. Thanks
    It is impossible to please everybody.

    Warning: I am a Honda Fan.

    But we own a Corolla too. I don't suppose a brand new car (1 year used?) would give any problem. Be it any car..

    Do people really start getting problems after 1 year with Corolla? Ours is 2010 though.. but we haven't faced any issues yet in this Alhamdulillah.

    I don't know if its normal.

    They are very very jerky.

    You hit the break and everyone touches either the dashboard or the front seats.

    The car doesn't slip though, which is good, but these breaks are just too tight.

    Thats why cars come with seat belt so every one does not hit dash boards

    @haider 101
    I think on the contrary this new corolla has one of the most comfortable seats of car i have ever ridden ...previous gen corolla had really bad seats ...may be it depends upon sitting style too

    Its not normal to hit dashboard everytime to have to press the break, even if slightly.

    Seat belts are made to avoid damages caused by abrupt breaking, not to keep you attached to the seat and save the jerk you get every once in a while.

    Also, in the City this never happens, even if I break on a very very high speed. It does not jerk.

    No its not true.
    Its cooling and blow both are superb.
    Even with the blower speed at 3 the cooling and the blow is great.

    I am driving a Corolla since Jan 2005 and Al-Hamdolillah not a single issue has risen so far. Just normal maintenance and I love its AC and fuel economy and the way its passes from bumps, broken and unpaved roads without hitting its belly and shaking the occupants.

    Love the overall package offered in new Gli.
    Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

    ^^ No idea about the brand.
    You must be able to get the original kit from any Toyota dealership but that will be very expensive.
    You wont believe that the guys at the decoration shop of Toyota Rawal are selling the Altis Rims for 80k.
    One of the most difficult things in the world is to know how to do something, and to watch without comment, somebody else do it incorrectly.

    The problem of after market power windows is nothing. except the door rubber channels. If u need speedy power windows then change door channels as well. Company will cost 65000/ for this if they change channels. Otherwise they charge 20000/ for simple power windows. U can get these after market in 10000/ approx.

    My Gli is like a month old so far there is no known issue with it but I would like to share my experience regarding its ride;

    Seats indeed are uncomfortable as someone mentioned these are more like kitchen stool.

    Road grip I did not get much time to check on that as most of the time I drove it within city until today when I took a test run at 140 on airport road and I was scared like anything as I felt the car is swaying.( tires are GT)

    Air conditioning is fairly good.

    mileage is reasonably good as I do not feel the need of getting CNG.

    I did not feel this car underpowered except it is hard to make the tires screech.

    overall it is a good car at least head turner.

    The statement is untrue as stated by other friends above..
    However if someone insists, then tell him/her to clean or better replace the Cabin Air Filter which usually is clogged in most of the cars that i have seen. The process is explained in the thread linked below.
