diesel has less consumption as compared to petrol!
What does the '*' say at the right corner of the ad? Something like ''800 kilometer at the speed of 30kmph''?

Still its impossible to reach such mileage.
On Indus corolla 1998 model I have acheived 600 km on GT road. From lahore till sukhur two years back.
On 2005 2.0D saloon I had max 380 kms in a tank on my way from Fsd to lhr on M2.
Later models aint capable of such mileages.
They are lying.....
i have a 2.od special edition i went to larachi on it and it gave me a mileage of 670km in a tank. The speed at whicih i went was around 11-110 kmh. my car is total genuine condition with original 14 inch alloy rims. and who says diesel mileage is less then a petrol it is much more then a petrol car can dream.
what is the fuel tank capacity of 2.0D?
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
The second point is that earlier Indus models had a fuel tank of 50 liters, current model fuel tank is 55 liters. In earlier models, the low fuel light used to glow after consuming 40 liters, now it glows after 45.
At normal drive i.e. 100-110 on GT Road type highways, 2.OD gives an average of around 17 kms per liter. Multiply it with 45 (10 lites spare when fuel light starts glowing) and you will get the safe/average cruising range of around 765 kms.
mene new shape main buhat kam 2.0d dekhi hy
Maa Da Laddlaa Vigar Gaya.... Chevy Aveo Ly K Nikal Gaya.
Fiat (with Tractor engine) has come down to 4 lac rupees for a Brand New car, Corolla (with Tractor engine) should come down to 8 lacs now
Sir I never said I went to sukkur in one fuel tank.
I meant to say I drove 600 kms in one full fuel tank ON MY WAY TO SUKHUR FROM LAHORE and yes the yellow light was ON when I had a refil IN 1998 2.0D simple edition.
Hope the above is clear.
Secondly the newer models i.e. 2001 up ones are not capable of doing 17km / L, (exceptions can be there in some cars).
I drove a 2.0D saloon 2005 model of a freind of mine and I was crusing on 160 kph on M2, while driving on this speed constantly for 15 minutes I saw fuel needle dropping badly. I maintained my speed on the rest of the tour at 120kph but the fuel tank was 60% over from FSD to LHR on M2. And on M2; Fsd to lhr is 180 kms.
Hope the above is clear also.
Still any confusion do let me know.
I'll explain in urdu for ya...
Bango: Your theory on white corolla's. This is it!! Very few 2.0ds you will spot out there other then the color white! And the major market of 2.0d is in Interior Pakistan -
Nothing to see here.

piece of scrap ohhhh dear u dont know the worth of corolla 2.od. its a piece of mind reliability and comfort. my friend has a 2000 2.ODG he has drove it 300000 km with no problems and he usually drive on highways that is from lhr to karachi still with original engine except for the necessary maintannace that is timing belt and filters etc. i myself is enjoying my 2.od so better first experience then say something
Diesel will not sell till the time our country remains plagued by CNG
only in dreams 800 kms in one tank!!!! seems funny
well my uncles 90 corolla manages 550 kms imperessive for and old banger
but new ones i doubt hardly
Hanjiii Kaa Storeey Eehh !
Does the Fiat still come new??

Well this figure is little difficult to achieve but 800km in 55 litres means 14.54km/litre ......though 800 km seems little odd but 14.5 km/litre is i think possible on highway .......although it is generally believed than 2002-2008 corolla diesel and 2008 onwards are poor in comparison to indus diesel corolla but 14.5km/litre is i think possible....unless you are doing above 120km/hr or below 60 km/hr .................doing 160km/hr on this poor old 2c engine and then complaining about mileage is really little unfair ......Company when taking put such readings usually take wind direction into account too....
I have Altis and yet to go on highway although in city mileage is not something to be proub of 8 km/litre (500km driven) but i am told its around 13-14 on highway at 66 rupees per litre it will cost 5.07 rupess for 1 km... and for diesel it will cost 5 rupess per kilomter....if you chooose xli or gli they can give upto 16 km/litre (4.125 rupees/km).....Its time to say bye to diesel...
i have a nissan 97 diesel, with 235k km on the clock, in one tank it easily does a round trip on motorway from Islamabad to Lahore and back at speed not less than 120..
on gt road at 100 kph, it gives around 18 kpl..
mentioned this to back up the fact that diesels have better mileage than petrol , inherently diesel engine is more efficient than petrol. and i certainly have no doubt from my experience that it will give 800 km/tank...
having said that, i cry when i see 20 year old diesel engine sill marketed, new modern common rails are far to efficient ...
