    hey guys.. i want ur pro ideas on this topic..

    is it possible for me to install new altis ECU into old altis???
    coz u knw da new altis have long shifts... and it is has more topspeed..

    I think you can, Because according to my knowledge, they both have same engines.

    Yup they both have same engine Toyota 1ZZ-FE
    It is impossible to please everybody.

    both hav same 1zz-fe engine but dere is little difference in power...

    OLD ALTIS has

    power = 100kw @6000 rpm
    torque = 171 Nm @4200 rpm


    NEW ALTIS has

    power = 97kw @6000rpm
    torque = 170 Nm @4200 rpm

    is it gona matter

    btw is ECU play n plug install??? u knw wat im sayin.

    i suggest u not to do this.
    As gear ratios have no link with the ecu.
    Gear ratios longer or shorter is coz of gear box design.
    U may install other stuff in order to Increasing the power of ur car.
    Try increasing current of ur car along with better air induction and proper exaust flow.

    lol - jeez - the new altis ecu is a CAN BUS system with two giant (DIN) MB type plugs sitting beside the battery, the old one is usual 4 plug (JIS) living in the dash - and the New corolla has electric throttle motor and EPS while the older has cable actuated throttle and hydraulic power steering,

    its not plug n play

    the tranny is the same - the speed limiter is reprogrammed

    increase current???

    ^^^LOl.
    Not abt bigger battery mate.
    Better original pure american split fire plugs. An msd (if compatible).
    That increases throttle response of ur car.
    Hope u got my point.
