Exclamation Toyota Corolla Euro Star 195/65 Tyres

I have bought an XLI recently !
Please comment whether the tyres Euro Star 195/65 are good to keep!

    1) I feel they are rigid and when i drive the car gets moved on uneven road. My Previous model xli had Goodyear tyres and i enjoyed. Comment on the tyre?
    2) If i change the tyres then will the warranty be void... Did any of you face such an issue with warranty ?

Rest i like the car a lot... !

Comment on Euro Star & Warranty issue Please !

    dear amer ali khan

kindly change your tyres with some good brands but keep in mind to retain the tyre size same. i think in toyota XLI have 195/65 R15 so you can change any good tyres with same size. your warrenty will not be void.
there are some good brands like Nexen, dunlop, good year etc it is up to your choice

99% people wud suggest you to change your tires, including ur own self, like u said u were better off driving ur previus xli with Goodyear tires.

    1) im from the 1% people who would say stick to them for a while recover the cost change them later.

    2) Change them the day u got ur car, u might get a good deal

    3) General Tires are atleast worth what there priced and atleast better then Dunlops, (dunlops are priced more because imported) .

4)Warranty shouldnt be void if u change the tires with the orignal size. Still consult a dealer.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

without being imploite, i Strongly Disagree from your above statement!!!! u cannot compare Euro Star with Dunlop!! Dunlops are way better than General in all the terms!!

    @Poster
If you will sale em rite after buying, you will recover a great price. theres no point of keeping a crap for a while just to recover your money and sacrificing the driving pleasure. Please go ahead and replace them.

You have the right to say whats on ur mind, theres nothing wrong about

But seriusly trust me on this one ive used Dunlops lm701s, bad bad bad tires, altho they were soft, but very little life, used to get puntured very often.

Dunlop eco201 these tires also get bubbles on side walls prematurly,

On the other hand Generals or Eurostar/Euroglide, are better then thoose Dunlops,

PS: eco's were experienced by a cousing, im using Yokos and im quite happy with them now, also using Euroglide on Baleno quite satisfied have used bridgestones great experience.

But Dunlops were the worst experience for me some how PS: i got dunlops in June 2008, manufacturing 1108 i.e (march 2008) so they were fresh tires (it takes 3 months to get them deliverd to a sales out let)

change them to yokohama the softest i've tried.... 205/65/15 will give u a better grip.... sell ur eurostar tyres 200rs less than the market price of the new. make sure u take them to sale before the hairs on the tires are rubbed.

Default I got them replaced... Thanks !

Thanks a lot for your suggestions... Really Good ones...

My XLI has just done 200 kms and believe me when i drove it i felt like the car is moved a lot with the road uneven pattern... I decided no to sacrifice my lacs for thousands...

In Euro Star... The car moves away with the road and with the Electronic Steering control i could not have the feeler of the road so that i could accordingly react... Off-n-On one had to get tense about the drive.. Had to remain tense and over active while on road..

finally, it was Yesterday that i changed the Tyres... :-)

    Let me share it...

I called the Dealership.... they said that No warranty issue if you go for same SPECS.
I feel 195/65 was the perfect size so i went for Dunlop 195/65 - Sport300.
Too soft.... I feel the difference... More control as the tyres take some responsibility of dealing with bad road too.. ! heehee... Euro Star was putting all the pressure on me...
So I am a Happy man now.... Same Size with more comfort and little or no consumption issue...
    DETAILS:
Sold Euro Star around 2500RS per tyre
Bought Dunlop 195/65 Sports300 for 5500-200RS per tyre
    Same R15
Make is JAPAN. Not sure whether Japan makes it or not but the tyre somehow prooves it !

    Thanking you a lot !

    Sir

It is not recommended to change 2 tires only.

    Change all tires.

I recommend Michelin XM1+ or Kumho KH11 or if the car is driven on snow, Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum or Michelin MXV4.

    Regards
