Very nice Mashallah. Suggestion about interior wooden panels. You will save a lot of money if you dont buy them from Toyota. When I got my Gli in Feb. Toyota was selling the panels for 12k. I got them for 7k in F10 market and he bought the silver panels for 1k so I actually paid 6k, and they are exactly the same as the genuine ones. There is also a cheaper version for 3-4 k but do not go for that.

For LCD panel go for the one that fits in the front console, the one made for Corolla. It is available in the market as Rockmars. You can get it for around 25k including GPS navigation.

Default Review and comparison

Lets start with whats under the hood
both the glis had the 2nz-fe engines 1300 cc
what i liked better in the new corolla is that the engine is very sound even with the hood open however it should be remembered that it vibrates more at the startup then the prev corolla

Also the sound of the starter motor is more silent and startup is a bit quick
The engine bay with tapet cover looks more cool and the prev engine in the corolla looked rather a mess

Hwever on the negative side the computer or the electric control unit of the new corlla is under the hood which means that a jet wash can easily cause the car to malfunction, the previous corolla had it in the dashboard so washing the engine was not that much scary

Also it comes with a bigger battery than the old one

Interior
When talking about the overall design of the interior the new co has a much better and welldesigned interior with good road visibility and a sporty design. It has more storage places and has dual glove box and design of the door panels is also awesome.however the old corolla had a rather old age design with conventional interior
However on the negative side the plastic quality of the interior is not as good as prev corolla and i think that it will be subject to more rattles later on than the previous corolla

the fan temprature etc knobs are also much better
Also it comes with a pioneer sound system although just ok but still it has usb ipod and aux option which the old corollas alpine was lacking

The Functionality of the meter is better it has lots of options and also has two displays however the rpm meter is huge personally i liked then illuminations of the old corolla and its interior light combination was better

in overall the new corolla has lots of other differences like have and extra head rest in center of the back seat, key hole illumination and cabin light which operates with the lock and unlock of the driver door havingm out expression etc etc

Exterior
the first thing you will notice about the new corolla is its sleek and streamlined design
its equiped with a rocker body underpanels which are better because the old corolla had steel under panels which got easily scratched or dented so now you have the ease of having plastic under panels which could be replaced if needed
The exterior is longer and wider than the previous corolla and the body is also a bit more heavy and strong .the doors have a smooth closing sound inside and outside due to increased rubbering and also the trunk has a spring and closes firmly with pressure so woofer rattles are also less
It has a larger space for installing bigger tyres and rims and also comes with 5 nut wheels which make the installation of a wide variety of rims possible
The side mirrors have side turn signals which look better and make visibility of others easier
Overall the exterior is much better
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

Considering its drive train the gearbox is a bit hard
The handbrake feels more smooth but works after a couple of more clicks
The accelerator pedal works a bit down and you have to press it more but the pick is higher
The ABS EBD in Gli is an excellent option as the previous gli brakes were poooooor
Suspension
Suspension is a lot more stiffer and the bumps are much less felt
More details soon to come………………
Current Mileage: 108 kms done

did you notice that the drive is smooth and if we push the car hard it does not feel like a rocket like the old one used to feel like. and there is very less wheel spin in 1 gear as compared to old model.

When doing speeds of 70+ you will feel cabin noise is less and its more comfortable

New shape is better than old one.
