Default Got cng installed in xli 2010

    Dear Friends,
I have installed CNG kit in my XLI few days before. Landi renzo italy with Landi renzo ammulator/advancer designed for Toyota, Cylinder 60KG BTIC.
Want to share my experience till today.
Got my car refilled with Gas 8.93Kg @ 49.94 = 446 and drove the car in city with all time A/C on it run 94Kms only.
This mean on CNG its average is 446/94 = 4.734/km
My car current mileage is 1805kms till today.
Whereas on petrol i used to drove it in city with A/C and its meter shows average of 12.5km/liter on screen. Petrol price today is 67.92/litre
This mean on petrol its average is 67.92/12.5 = 5.433/km
The difference between petrol and CNG is 5.433-4.734= 0.70/litre

Please also share your experience regarding it

    Regards

Hey man atleast its 0.7 cheaper
Get the settings adjusted again, there has been some problem in the tuning. 90kms is too low for a manual 1.3 car

There is something wrong with your CNG settings. My car does between 17-18km per KG of gas. For example i put 300 rs gas the other day so 300 @ 55.30 = 5.42KG. I got around 97km's from this. So 300/97= 3.09 rs/km.

Another way to look at it 5.42kg gas into 18km/kg = 97km

Whereas with your car you get 8.93kg gas into 10.5km/kg = 94km

So your car should be giving you at least 15-18km/kg of gas. Right now it's only giving you 10.5km/kg which is quite less for a 1.3L car. I have a 1.6L car with 16" alloys.

Could also be the fact that your car is almost brand new, i heard that after a little time the mileage of a new car improves slightly. Nevertheless, get the CNG settings tuned by a good mechanic.

You will regret your decision of converting it on CNG some time later!! this car has excellent fuel consumptionn and (in my opinion) it doesnt require CNG!! technical issues will be fatal!!

95 kms in Lahore city with AC is good.
On Petrol it does 10 kms per liter within city = about Rs. 7 per km.
and on CNG it does about Rs. 5 per km.
So still there is a saving of Rs. 2 per kilometer but not worth it imo.

    mahtab;

I think you should complete the running upto min 5000 kms on petrol and then use cng. Get the cng settings by good mechanic. Use synthetic engine oil (just a bit more costly) and check your cng mileage on long run only. You should get 18-20 kms/kg on long run with AC turned on. In my experience, XLI is best for using CNG using landi renzo CNG kit and do tell me your experience

I am also having Honda EXI 2006 model.
    Got the gas refilled for 8.39kgs @ 49.94 = Rs 419.
It gives an average of 110-115kms with all time A/C in city and 135-140kms on highways.
Average in city travelling comes to 419/110kms= 3.80/km which is far better than XLI.
Honda EXI is 1500cc and having old technology even tough its giving better average than new XLI and more pickup than XLI.

I also got one problem with my XLI CNG lights indicator as the 1st light drop only after 7-8kms of car driven. do anyone else having this kind of problem ?

You should have checked the CNG before getting it, now either you curse or live withit happily with getting some good tune up for getting better mileage while still i have to come across the person having good mileage with new Corolla XLI/GLI

CNG is not 57+ rs in Islamabad, while in other cities it is for 49 or even 45 rs with discount. The difference is narrowing down fast and in winters there will be massive loadshedding of CNG I guess it would not be available at least two days a week.
