its rite to a certain extent. it worked perfectly in the non vvti 2NZFE...but with the new vvti 2NZFE, it seems to struggle a lot, and it gives few problems as well..which was never the case with the previous generation/engine. i have no idea why

yeah man, CNG is somewhat troublesome for this new VVTI Corolla .. as one of my cousin had installed CNG in it and after 50000 km, he had to do work of valves (now i dont exactly know why or what was that) but 50000 for a Corolla engine is surely nothing and it shouldn't have given trouble at all, but my conclusion is that CNG doesn't work well with the VVTi engine, as is the case with new shape Vitz i guess

heard same from a colleague who owns an 09 gli. He says that the mech he got cng installed from said that after 50-60k kms HEAD KA KAAM KARANA PARHTA HAE. Mech said many such complaints were coming after 50-60k usage on CNG. I again do not know why nor can cfm why it is so.any members who hav run his gli on cng can answer better.

bro mine is going great Alhamdulillah...no idea abt others so cant comment...but the fact remains that CNG does give problems on vvtis....again...i dont know the technicality behind it...my car has now done 73k, it is a vvti with CNG, and going perfect Mashallah maybe its the way u take care of ur car which matters at the end of the day, for any engine, vvti or ivtec or vtec or anything

[QUOTE=osama96;2358156]go for cng it is working perfectly in my friends xli[/QUOTE whats the mileage of ur frends xli? Comments from people with high mileage xli/gli on CNG would be fruitful.if some people are facing problems and other arent then this could be a very fruitful discussion and we could come to some very imp conclusions such as what kind of kit people are using, mileage on CNG could determine how well tuned the cars were, the place from where the kit was installed and the maint schedule of their cars. We might come to a set of rules for the DOs and DONTs while installing CNG in the VVTIs. I must say this would be a very useful discussion.

if the notion that the new corolla isnt good on CNG starts to spread ,then imagine the impact it would have on the market of these cars? City steermatic is an example from the recent past and had real impact on its resale. Consider the fact that if 1 has to spend 20-25k on engine work every 50k mileage.do the maths etc n add it up in the cost/km on CNG ,we mite end up concluding that petrol/CNG will cost same thus no use of CNG on new XLI/GLI!! this could in turn lower the market of the corolla n inc the demand for the older gen of corolla n other brand cars!

Rent a car business is running on behalf of cng xlies and glies.
Driver company never goes near those models which make them spent rather earn.
    Keep it in mind.
