Default Corolla 2009, New rims and Front grills

I had put a slight dent in my wallet by putting in alloy Rims, 205/65/15r tyres, front Grills, fog lights, Leather seats etc.

I am getting mixed reviews about the Rim's design and size. I need some decent advice, if I should upgrade the size to 16 inch???

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Well you should have gone for atleast 16inch rims. Grill is not looking good, you should have gotten the stock grill painted black or gun metallic.
And also spend a little and get ur side mirrors, door handles and mud guards painted. If possible also find some side panels.

Thanks for the response you guys ....

I am inclined towards getting a 16 inch set . (partially though LOL)

As far as getting side mirrors, door handles painted. hmm not sure about that. (every body is doing it)

But i have seen some real nice Grills, and body kits (not the usual Altis conversions) But i do not want to make it more sporty. It will not suit my age LOL (I am 41) Alright I am an uncle but have a heart of a teenager LOL

I will keep looking for better grills and better rims ... and will keep yo guys posted.

    thanks

Chrome grill is wht every1 is doing now a days to corolla. Opt for a honeycomb grill in matte black. It will go very well with the white color of ur car. As for the rims, do not opt 16's. They will screw up ur suspension with time. Find a decent set of 15's. Try to source out Darwin racing alloys in 15. They will cost u around 23K a set.

Thanks you every one for your comments and suggestions.

For the moment I am sticking to what I have done already. But the future plan is to convert this into a Corolla S (Us Model) as far as the cosmetics goes. I am flying off to Toronto in a short while and I will bring back the Corolla S Grill and spoiler. i think the foot panel is compatible with Altis.

    Cheers every one.

Dear poster, 15" is fine but 16" is not bad at all. Myths, myths and more myths. Do your thing. You can safely opt for 16" as long the profile of tyres is 205/55-R15 and you get a fresh, soft tyre. Just dont sway from that profile because Toyota Worldwide has this profile in their options. So whats the big deal?

    Thanks buddy,

I went to tire shop, Even installed 16,17 and 18 wheels. Came to te conclusion if I ever upgrade the size of Wheels it would be 17" 215 50 17 or the size you have recommended. But it's going to take a little while. Anyways I have changed the horrible rims I had on (above Pic) and replacd them with the Altis factory Rims from Toyota Indus. (Pic Attached)

Plan is to give my XLI a Altis conversion by putting side skirts and the usual matching parts.

The grill that you have installed does not looks good to me.
Moreover it has become so common these days that every second Corolla that you see is having this grill installed.
The one that Osama posted looks much better.
You can get alloys in 16" and they would look better with a slightly low profile.

I saw a black Corolla at my mechanic,s place with the same kind of grill.
This grill suits this car alot on black colour.
I could not examine it closely but it looked as if he had only used a couple of chrome stripes on the stock grill.
But it looked great and beter than the stock grill.

So that means I was right.
But only these 2 chrome stripes enhance the looks of the car alot.
