Default My 93' Corolla From New Zealand (AE100 JDM)

    Hey guys,

This is my 1993 Toyota Corolla SE Limited. It's a Japanese import and has all of the features you would expect out of Japan, except it's now a little different from a bog standard grocery getter

It was completely standard when I bought it, but I've done a number of mods to it over the last 5-years of ownership so far, including a 4A-GE 20v Blacktop swap at the end of 2012. I've almost reached my goal of finding every single optional extra that was available from new, including some of the rarest items, such as the AirFantasy fragrance control system.

This first post will remain updated with all of the current modifications and photos. To view updates in chronological order please scroll through the various posts below this one.

I'm really glad that you think so. I see quite a lot of AE100/AE101 Corollas on the road so it's good to stand out from the crowd. Thanks a lot for your comment

I must say you have an amazingly kept Corolla.. I mean just the how clean you've kept it says a lot.. I WISH my engine bay was spic n span like yours.

Also New Zealand is beautiful and you've shown that in the shots.. Good job with the photography! Your Rebel is amazing..

Enough has been said about how outstanding your car is so I won't add more.. One thing though, your seat colour doesn't match with the rest of the interior, I guess cause you replaced them.. If you could get seat covers which match, that would be perfect.. But that's me If she's perfect for you then that's what matters.

    Good job man!

Thanks so much for such a great comment. I take a lot of pride in my engine bay, so it's nice to know that you appreciate the effort that goes into keeping it clean .

As for the seats, the pictures of the front and rear seats are deceiving. The seat colour is actually identical, but the photos were taken on different days so it makes the front seats almost appear black. Here's a better photo of the front seats:

I do however need to get my door cards reupholstered as the new seat pattern doesn't match them. I have some door cards from a Sprinter GT in my garage with the right fabric, but unfortunately the plastic for the door cards is grey whereas the rest of the interior in my car is plum coloured (dashboard and all plastics) so I can't just swap them over. I'm hoping to get the job done sometime soon, but it's expensive to do as they have to work with the existing fabric. I could get new fabric made but it wouldn't be a perfect match.

Thanks again for your comment bro My 93' Corolla From New Zealand (AE100 JDM) - 143

Here's a video I made after installing my 2" exhaust. Don't mind the hints of smoke coming out when I revved it, that was just the new muffler burning out the stuff inside, and also any carbon build-up on the piping. It stopped smoking after a couple of days. You may need to turn your speakers up a little as the microphone didn't pick it up very loudly:

The photos were taken with my Canon EOS 450D DSLR, so I suppose you could class that as a professional camera . Most of the shots are HDR.

Yeah the 35% stickers are very handy. The tints are called "Night Rider" and are the darkest legal tints available. They're darker than the average 35% tint due to the colour of the film. I compared them to my mate's 20% tint and it looked just as dark, so I chose to put the stickers on my glass so that I don't get any hassles from the police just in case they think it's too dark. The stickers have their own verification number, so fortunately they can't just be handed out to anyone, so when the police see it they leave you alone immediately

HMM,so its means that the sticker really is important!!!Well in Pakistan TINTINg isn't allowed but ppl tint! but whenever Snapchecking is done by the POLICE they stand on the scene and ask you to take them out with results into great mess!!well i HOPE this 35% thingy should be allowed in Pakistan! becasue in sunny seasons it really helps!!
