    Default My 93' Corolla From New Zealand (AE100 JDM)

    Hey guys,

    This is my 1993 Toyota Corolla SE Limited. It's a Japanese import and has all of the features you would expect out of Japan, except it's now a little different from a bog standard grocery getter

    It was completely standard when I bought it, but I've done a number of mods to it over the last 5-years of ownership so far, including a 4A-GE 20v Blacktop swap at the end of 2012. I've almost reached my goal of finding every single optional extra that was available from new, including some of the rarest items, such as the AirFantasy fragrance control system.

    This first post will remain updated with all of the current modifications and photos. To view updates in chronological order please scroll through the various posts below this one.

    After not being happy with my initial 'TWIN CAM 20' sticker placement a few weeks ago I decided to give it another crack when some more arrived from overseas. It took me a week to decide on the most appropriate placement, and in the end I came to the conclusion that they'd look good on the sideskirts. It's a little bit out of the ordinary, but I like it much better than when they were on the rear doors.

    Thanks guys!

    My latest addition is this rather rare USDM carpeted trunk lid liner. This was only available for the American market, so being the huge fan of factory options/accessories that I am I just had to have it, even if it wasn't an original JDM item. A good friend in the US kindly sent it over to me and I installed it a few minutes ago.

    The bare skin of the trunk lid is no longer visible, creating a more elegant and luxurious look, usually reserved for higher spec'ed cars such as the Lexus range. One unexpected bonus is that the trunk now closes easily on it's own when you drop it from the top due to the extra weight of the carpet, whereas previously it would require a helping hand to latch in properly.

    It's certainly not the most exciting optional extra in my collection, but it's simple and effective, just how I like it

    Thank you for your comment. I think you might be referring to the rubber trunk tray. This was a VERY rare JDM optional extra and I only recently found it. I posted photos earlier in this thread but here they are again

    Open stacks . Most types of filtration kill proper flow to the velocity stacks, and also muffle the sound. It's not very risky to run without filtration where I live as there's not a lot of dirt/dust in the air.

    I have the same car although mine is geared towards performance more. Im not ashamed to admit that your car has been an inspiration for me.

    [QUOTE=KiwiCorolla;4336782]Thanks!

    Thank you for your comment. I think you might be referring to the rubber trunk tray. This was a VERY rare JDM optional extra and I only recently found it. I posted photos earlier in this thread but here they are again
