Default My 93' Corolla From New Zealand (AE100 JDM)

    Hey guys,

This is my 1993 Toyota Corolla SE Limited. It's a Japanese import and has all of the features you would expect out of Japan, except it's now a little different from a bog standard grocery getter

It was completely standard when I bought it, but I've done a number of mods to it over the last 5-years of ownership so far, including a 4A-GE 20v Blacktop swap at the end of 2012. I've almost reached my goal of finding every single optional extra that was available from new, including some of the rarest items, such as the AirFantasy fragrance control system.

This first post will remain updated with all of the current modifications and photos. To view updates in chronological order please scroll through the various posts below this one.

    Thanks man. I have a 0-190kph video, here's the link: 4AGE 20v Blacktop - Full Throttle @ 190kph with 110mm Trumpets - YouTube

    Hahaha, perfectly said!!!

A few small updates from me:

I installed these aftermarket Denso Japanese "J Horn Power'd" horns. Here's a video/sound clip comparing them to my original OEM dual horns:

These Rays wheel nuts turned up yesterday from Japan:

Annnnd I bought a leaf blower to dry the cars after washing. Turns a half hour job into a 5-minute job and gets into all of the cracks and crevices, leaving the car bone dry. Wish I had started doing it years ago!

The FX is fairly standard. Since I've had it I've added the following: 16" wheels, King Springs, Monroe GT Gas Reflex shocks, OEM Hella glass headlights, JVC Bluetooth headunit and a few rare optional extras such as an extended armrest, wind deflectors, tweeter pods, OEM AE111 3-spoke black leather steering wheel, intermittent wipers and a rear window visor. If I find any other cool options for it that I don't already have in my sedan I might end up installing them, but for the most part it'll stay stock and just be used as a car to hack around in on rainy days My 93' Corolla From New Zealand (AE100 JDM) - smile

Even that is modded according to Pakistani standards.

Hahaha, not a Suzuki FX . I should have been more specific, lol. It has a 20v Silvertop under the hood:

I took the sedan for a bit of a drive today, before stopping off for a few obligatory photos on the way home:

why the engine noise is so much inside the cabin? isn't it uncomfortable as a daily runner?

The first video is recorded with an external microphone in the engine bay. Second video is inside the cabin using the camera's built-in microphone. It's only loud during full throttle. The heavier your foot is on the accelerator the louder it becomes, so as a daily driver it's no problem at all . The hardest part is resisting the urge to put your foot down on every straight piece of road you see because of the way it sounds at 8,500rpm, lol.
