Default Corolla XLI or City Manual

    Dear Brothers,

    Asalam Walaikum,

I have been given a choice from my employer to either get a Corolla XLI or a City Manual as a benefit.
I wanted to come out and acquire expert opinion you guys as to which would be a better choice for me (as limited as they are) given my list of preferences:

    a. Good ride quality.
    b. Superior Engineering, gadgets, automated options.
    c. Reliability...technical problems avoidance.

XLI and City owners are requested to help me out finding the right choice for myself.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Salaam,

First of all are you referring to the 2010 models?
Either way, I would go for XLi. Its better suited to Karachi roads.

Corolla has better built quality, suits Pakistani roads and has more room inside the cabin plus in the boot, but it does not have power windows and abs, which city 2010 has. Choose wisely
It doesn't always take a rookie to make a rookie mistake...

corolla, city's interior is prone to scratches, although it has all the power options, but, you can get power windwos for xli in 6-10 k.

drove both cars, if you enjoy 10 seconds of pickup go for city, if you want peace of mind with luxury gor for corolla.

Corolla interior looks so cheap.only plus point is its beige/grey as compare to black interior in city . Off course if one don't clean its interior very often then corolla interior is better.but look & finish wise city's interior look more elegent.

Still if You Want Idea then

A:RIde quality Consists of Two Types Comfort and Performance. If You want Performance Then City And If you Want Comfort Then Corolla.

B:Theres No deny That Corolla has Significantly Superior Engineering Than City (not civic) , BOth Have Equal Gadgets , If You consider Xli,Then Powerwindows are feature for City.

C:Reliability Wise No Doubt Corolla is Best In this Category,Mechanics are more comfortable with Corolla and Its Tough n Rough Not Fragile.
I am Listing Drawbacks of City Against GLi:

    1:No Trunk Light(basic utility lacked).
    2:No High Mount Stop lamp(a safety feature)>
    3:No Center Console Box.
4:Extreme Low quality Interior(Similar to Suzuki Swifts)
5:Less Spacious from Front and Rear.
    6:No USB and AUX Option.
7:From PW i Get To Know that City has No Rear Safety Beam(a major safety Hazord)

All These Drawbacks Resulted in the Lead of Corolla.
If YOu BUy a XLI ,then Buy now It in Limited COlours,Install Power Windows for 7k and Get the mirrors Painted. And You are ready To Go.
And If you Want Further Luxury,Then install Dvd Player And Wooden Panels.

    Regards
    Danish.

    XLI

because in the day it can be used for personal use
and in the night as a radio cab
u can go to any village and act like chaudhary!
u can stand between property dealers and u wont feel a difference! (do not forget to wear the white kalaf wala shalwar kameez)

and like once a member said XLI in Pakistan is status symbol

a fully loaded city with ABS can never do this. poor resale.
cant take u to dhok khaba kachi roads

    XLI for life !
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

City is the value for money and fun to drive. Never go for Xil, no ABS, no power windows, old technology engine. City has got the latest i-vtec engine, futuristic design, aerodynamic styling, colour choice and great fuel economy.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.
