Default First Oil Change for GLi 2010

I am planning to get its first oil change on 1000 kms inspection. however, toyota ppl recommend first oil change to be at 5000kms. As per them, there is absolutely no need to have it earlier since the modern cars don't undergo orthodox ""running-in / breaking-in" any more which allows the factory filled oil to run fine till 5000 kms...what's your opinion about it....thanks....

Hmmm you do not need to change oil at 1000 km.. N btw I took my Altis to Toyota Capital I-9 on first 1000km insepction and the ba$tard there altered the alignment and the steering titled to left side..this is worst quality of service that these "awan" guys n their gang doing with brand new cars..under the name of Toyota Capital, Toyota Islamabad and Toyota Rawal....these people are indeed the Wrost Toyota Guys I've ever seen..and when i complained to the Customer Service guy he was like "alignment warranty mai nahi hotta" so instead of arguing with that blo0dy chap I got the alignment and steering wheel correction from Hong Kong Deals at blue area...I might try Toyota GT for first 5000 km service..

They will not do anything major with your car..rather checking headlights, tightening of bolts and flow other blah blah..just a formality...so chill

do as they say, till in the warranty period
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

According to my experience, there is no need to change oil after 1000 km. I changed the oil of my GLi after 5000 km and there is nothing wrong with the car.

But one thing which I noticed recently is Toyota Cantt Motors suggested to do the first oil change after 2500 km on my uncle's XLi. It went for 1000 km check up on last Saturday. So please check the oil quality periodically.

    Thanks,
