    Wrong ... Wrong ... Wrong.
    * These were noted on a long trip soon after first inspection and first oil change. These figures will slightly imrove a bit I guess. Secondly it was a hot day and I had been driving it continously for about 3 hours when readings were taken.

R18 (iVTEC) of Civic and 1ZR-FE (Dual VVTI) of this new Altis both were introduced in 2007. So no one is newer here. I will not comment about which technology is better; people can do their homework; lots of stuff available on Wikipedia and YouTube

Even then its less fuel efficient then Corolla Altis. Technology is older then Corolla Altis. And current Altis is far better then Civic.

What I understand is that in 5th gear for each revolution of the tyre; engine is revolving @ 0.727 in M/T and @ 0.525 in A/T. Keeping the difference in small gears is understandable that it might be to avoid frequent gear changes etc. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Why such difference is kept in the last gear? If someone with knowledge can translate what this means in layman language will be appreciated
Sir khapane ka faida nayi.Definitely manual car will give better average.Enjoy your civic and plz from now on dont drag here civic. As fight will be started and then banning will be staarted. Thanks

    • Its natural; any new thing will be compared and discussed with existing competitive products
    • As long as discussion is healthy and based on facts....they are not off-topic. I am not happy to see few of my posts are deleted; I think I was neutral

In another thread, when you were trying to choose between this Altis 1.6 M/T and Civic 1.8 M/T after selling your Honda City, I told you to wait for Altis 1.6 M/T. But you were against that car at that time, hence you bought Civic, although its shape is going to be changed soon. Anyways you still have time as the new Civic shape is not launched yet. Sell your Civic in good price and buy this Altis M/T.

@speedster_101, Civic and Corolla are like mangoes and apples; even though both are fruits but they are different. Even today I will buy Civic as we already had Corolla in the house and to keep the variety in the house I was not considering Corolla. I am assessing this new Altis to replace the existing one of the house. I still think that its priced too high and waiting now for its price drop.

Is there any local car whose price is justified? Every car in Pakistan is overpriced.
The new price list will be implemented after 1st July.

My city AT 2010 does 120 @~2.6k-2.7k with AC on, i would expect 1.6 to give better. so 2.3k@ 120 for civic seems to be true but for GLI and altis 1.6 we need to confirm the stats. especially 3.4k is way too much for GLI
Update the stats and lets see the figures accumulating in the table
