1.6 variant is rated to give 13-14 km easily and 17 km highways. My uncle has a 1.6 vvti corollla in jeddah. and it easily gives 13-14 km on jeddah traffic jams roads and on highways when speeding 140km/h as u know people drive fast in these countries gives 17km/l.Plus theres some differ of petrol quality available her.And if the 1.6 variant is launched with dual vvti then it will produce 122 bhp only 8 bhp lover than 1.8 variant .So there will not be much differ in pick.
1.6 3zzfe cruistronic gives more than 14 kmpl with ac!people will love to buy the 1,6 variant as it will be fuel efficient and a balanced car to drive IMO!
@mani1 ur mentaility lead us to not appreaciate local manufacture of follow new steps and u critize them .indus is makking nice decisions like launch local hilux and now reback of 1.6 corolla and u instead of appreaciate them critizes
and how much more does the civic UG package costs compared to oriel pros?
As far as dual vvti 1.6 3zzfe is concerned, we won't be getting it. My source is not a reliable one in this case, but he has been correct in some cases in the past and I am also inclined to believe his point
EDIT: I am not criticizing or appreciating anyone. I am telling you the facts and rumors. What you make of them is upto you
I have owned 3 se saloons and 2 se saloon auto during 03-09 and manual gives no more than 11km/ltr with ac while auto gives around 9-10km/ltr which is same as altis cruisetronic which I currently own. I have never owned a altis manual but people say it gives around 11km/ltr so in short, a se saloon engine would mean 1.6 essentially becomes a flop a year or two after the launch
Maa Da Laddlaa Vigar Gaya.... Chevy Aveo Ly K Nikal Gaya.
dunno about indus corolla but my brothers jdm 3zzfe vvti cruisetronic gives atleast 14kmpl with ac!
VTEC did not kicked in ooooo
IMO the facelifted corolla would only enjoy more sales because of it's exterior changes and it being a new model in the market so people get excited about it in the beginning
and all those who are saying that the 1.6l would give 16-17km/ltr on highways is not something to be proud of, the 1.8l civic pros easily gives 15km/ltr on our wonderful super-highway which requires quite alot of gear changes because of truckers and buses blocking the way.
VTEC did not kicked in ooooo

WRT to remarks about competition: Well there is no competition among local assemblers whatsoever
