    Default Convert Corolla Brakes to ABS

    I have SE Saloon (AT) Model 2005. Its brakes are pain, can someone tell me whether its brakes can be converted to ABS as 2.0D saloon (2006) has ABS brakes.

    If yes, please give me details where i can get my car modified.

    yes it is very difficult job, Initially u need ABS device, new brake pipings for all wheels as the old one cant be used, the third and most expensive process is to replace ur all 4 wheel hubs to the new sensor equiped hubs. Approximate expense on all these are 175k. now decision is urs.

    why dont u get trd cross driller brake rotors?they will cost u lower than the cost of abs
    second thing u can do is,the brake lining of the corolla is made from plastic which explands when the brake fluid heats up,replace it with metal brake lining,hardly a 7-8k job n ull feel way the brakes to be way lot better.

    Lowering the car will improve the brakes.
    but considering family use lowered car is not good.
    final verdict comes it is not cost affective

    lowering your ride will not improve breaking to a noticeable difference moreover it will just increase the grip.

    i suggest you to change your car.

    been discussed a million times before
    more feasible solution is to change brake distribution T with Japanese corolla one

    @Poster instead of being played as a puppet in hands of local EXPERTS its better to change your car with an Altis if you love Corolla that much,at least this will save you from wasting your money,patience and time.

    @raza1

    Sir the best you could do is to change your tires, brake fluid and disc pads with after market performance one.
