    Default Modifications possible for 2.0d corolla?

    What are the modifications possible for a 2.0d corolla? Dont want to do anything big. Just need a 10-20hp gain so that the performance becomes bearable.

    @GTiR (Jahanzeb Bro)

    The guy is from Islamabad and how come he go to Garden Karachi.

    10-20Hp gain by just adding intake and exhaust pipe might be difficult...

    If u go by advice of GTiR
    u will get increased pickup for sure with lesser economy, noise will increase considerably.
    worst of all get ready to see some black smoke at the back.

    BEst setting is the actual timing, it allows maximum top speed.

    Turbo is expensive but good option

    @spectra
    did what GTiR said to my old 2.0d. There was surely an increase in acceleration but lots and lots of black smoke. Didnt notice any increase in sound though (probably my ears had already been weakened by the genuine sound).

    Dont want to go for a turbo. what will the free flow exaust and muffler do to the sound? I dont want to increase it.(decrease it if possible)

    putting a large deisel engine means you blocking air passage around engine. a large engine is not always a solution, if it keeps overheating due to lack of space and there is power loss,, its better to put a smaller petrol engine,, in corolla,,

    -cooler engine,, better ride.-

    Never saw a toymta with such alteration. Intercooler and turbo will work good , bv from a sportage, not pajero, as both are relatively alike. Toyota 3C will be best bet anywao

    has anyone tried turbo on a 2c.. the best mod... i think 150hp can be extracted easily by a turbo and intercooler without putting axcessive strain on the internals
    its all about power to weight ratio...

    Adding a turbo to a diesel increases more torque than horse-power. However, the conversion to turbo is not that difficult and pretty cheap. I believe you can get all parts, turbo, manifold, piping, intercooler, fuel pump for around Rs.15000/-

    Is this the new corolla or the old one? Intake and exhaust modifications work great on the old one because the exhaust is very restrictive, and such a conversion frees up a lot of power that the engine simply wastes in trying to breathe!

    Cheers
