Working on the same item the second time is easier :-)

I prepared 3 layers of fiberglass on the second enclosure while it was still on the male mold (the previous subsoofer enclosure was used as male mold for new subs)

Removing three-layered fiberglass piece from the mold was not easy. I had to use three screwdrivers and a BBQ wali seekh to get it done :-)

Khurram Bhai, I don't know if you are married or not. If you are, then you can visualize 155 mm Howitzers on rapid fire ... if you are unmarried, then just trust my word for it

In this photo, you can see both the FG enclosures together. I made the right side one first (you can see it on the right side of the photo). The nascent fiberglass enclosure is on the left.

The right one has seven layers ... while the left one is with three layers.

The first enclosure took me about 30 hours to complete upto this stage. However, as I gained experience, it was easier to do it in shorter time.

Just waited for the piece to cool down a bit, and then apply the next layer. This is how I worked on the second piece

Hahahaha .... so we got married at the same age!!! In my case, now it is almost 20 years (however, it feels like I got married in 200 years BC)

Any time after 3.3 years after marriage, when the whole romantic thing is gone ... all married men face the same

You can see the waste basket overturned ... I could not turn it to upright position due to my messy hands, she did not bother to upright it ... but managed to scold me for several hours .. each time she went into the kitchen, or came out ...

Bhai .. you are most welcome ...

I see a large number of guests and members viewing the thread at all times, and it would be nice to get comments from everyone.

I guess there are so many kinds of DIY keera in all of us .. i.e. all the members of PakWheels ... it is just that we see a large diversity in types of keeras

I can imagine the scene you faced ... sulphuric acid fumes in the house ... sure recipe for disaster!!!!

You are right; but getting married in early 20s is highly recommended Humm phussey tu aur loog bhi jaldi phusein!

I didnt took it serious earlier; life was changing rapidly; marriage, kids, studies, work...Alhamdulillah things are settling down now..and I have started realizing everybody needs some free space. My wife hasnt yet allowed to place / unpack few stuff that used to be in my room before; audio system, music workstation (keyboard / synthesizer) and the book rack. She was generous to allow computer table once; she mentions on and off that take this thing out; and I always reply; I will if you move your dressing table out too!

I guess, the best solution is to construct an additional room; label it "Study" or "Home Office"...and simply take your stuff there and use it for such "projects"

Today I plan to meet Madhouse for further course of action. We need to mark the lines on the left side piece ...

From the start, I avoided doing Fiberglass work directly in the trunk of the car ... you know it is a messy business ...

But now it seems, I have to sculpt some part of the enclosures in the car. I know the shape of the side facing the CNG cylinder, but could not shape a mold in my lounge.

I spent considerable time in figuring out how to do it outside the car.

I attached a stretchable cloth to the lasani base of the frame, but could not figure out an "S" shaped base while straight line on the top side.

How about plastic sheets + clay for molding the space; less messy; once you have the mold; use it as reference outside the car?

I agree. It is better to get married early. It is fun to see your kids growing up together with you.

It is a typical female psyche. We never interfere with what they place on the dressing table, how they hang the frames on the walls, so many other things ... and it is right too. Home is what women govern. My parents never had a fight. However, when my father handed over business to my eldest brother, he decided to retire and have a peaceful life.

As it turned out, it was a totally different story ..

After retirement, he had all the free time. Sometimes, he suggested something, and that resulted in quick reaction from my mother. Bickerings metamorphosed into actual fights. Finally, my father renounced his retirement and went back to work again ... thereby restoring the peace

Khurram Bhai .. now that I have some experience of playing with fiberglass, I think I can do it without messing things up.

Since I don't have experience with clay, I am not sure if I can do it right.

Now I am thinking that I should cover the area and surrounding area with packing tape. Place the FG structures in their place along with the lasani front plate... and then cover the space with one layer of FG. It will dry in about 30 minutes and I can then add the additional layers.

Forming the contours of the top uneven sides is peanuts .... ... I have a plan in mind for that. I can make perfect top contours between uneven surfaces using a "secret technique" .. Of course, I will share it, once I successfully do it
