Bhai, I discussed the possibility of installing Galaxy Tab 7" with a computer guru friend. While it has additional feature of mobile call capability, we had our very serious doubts that android software for additional stuff, such as OBD would be available. There is a range of chinese carputers available, but again they have the issues of capability to use OBD softwares.

We also looked at NetTops, ShellPCs, etc, they seemed to be a better choice. They can be installed in the trunk of the car while connected to the 7" touch screen LCD. My computer guru friend is exploring the LCD screens which would be suitable for Laadli.

Using these very small CPU units has another advantage that USB flash drives, or portable hard drives, surround sound cards, etc. can be easily attached.

About the IPad ... it has a zabardast display, though the 10 inch screen size is a bit large for indash installation in my car

I have used CNG vehicles both personal and official ... it has been my observation that in Pakistan specific scenario, where the availability of CNG is questionable, the cars develop an "attitude" about the type of fuel. Cars run only on CNG develop various problems i.e. deposits in the combustion chamber, and drying up of rubber parts in fuel pumps, etc. Their ignition timing has to be set for EITHER petrol or CNG.

The best thing about my experience with CNG in Laadli is that the ignition timing is not an issue. The ignition timing is change when you switch between fuels.

As you must have observed, I keep the fuel tank FULL at all times. For filling an empty tank, I get ten litres of Hi Octane, and the rest is filled with Premium Petrol. This mixture works very well.

Even when there is no "CNG Loadshedding", I run my car on petrol one day in every week. This helps against deposition of carbon residue in the combustion chambers, and protects against any damage to the engine.

It must be understood that CNG powered engines have shorter life than those run on gasoline. So, in order to achieve good results in terms of fuel cost economy and the life of the engine, it is best to use CNG for six days a week, followed by one day on gasoline.

I belong to Lahore and Gujranwala. Whenever I go to the hometown, I drive to Lahore on CNG, and drive back on gasoline. The reason is that the CNG in Lahore and Islamabad is different. Islamabad's CNG has very high BTU (British Thermal Unit) value, than the CNG available in Lahore and surrounding areas.

The change in type of CNG with respect to different cities becomes and issue. The CNG settings have to be changed with different CNG type. In order to avoid this, I consume the CNG from Islamabad on travel to Lahore, run my car on gasoline in Lahore and on the way back. This surely saves the visit to a CNG mechanic in Lahore for changing the settings, and also gives an opportunity to run the car on gasoline for extended period of time, which is good for the car's engine life.

So ... the mashwara, please go ahead with CNG installation. Since you are in Lahore, as per my elder brother's suggestion, please go to Toyota Kot Lakhpat for CNG installation. According to my brother, their CNG mechanic is simply marvelous.
again TY so much for such detailed info & kot lakh pat wali un ki hai jinki TOYOTA SARAH MOTORS hai JAIL ROAD pe..... don know about cng but painting n denting ka kaam TOYOTA WALTON walay alaa kartay hain....

Bhai I had mentioned the CNG mechanic at Toyota KotLakhpat recommended by my brother.

It does not matter who owns the toyota franchise, I talked about the mechanic. If you wish I can ask my brother for his name.

Bhai, this is called side skirt ... use is aesthetics ... and it is very simple to fix ... I think there were 3-4 clips on both sides. First the standard skirt was removed, and then the new ones were installed. They come standard in Toyota Altis, but available from Toyota for installation in other models of Corolla

First of all i am sorry for what i am going to write here.It may hurt you & your car feelings(if she have any).I am sorry can't write the word "LA " for your car coz already fedup but still ur right whatever u call her.
We all have feelings for our cars but don't you think this is too much?I was not expecting this from a grown family man.I am not talking about updates ,mods or care.
Feeling or emotion of car for owner ....... i don't think so.
This is a machine, a car , a mode of transportation with no feeling at all.Machines can die anywhere anytime with or wothout reason & not care owner feelings. It doesn't matter how much care owner give her.
It is hard to digest the way your express your feeling for your " " coz at the end of the day this is just a senseless & emotionless metal.
I am sorry again for my words.Maybe i am too realistic or manage to kill my feelings & emotions.
This is good car no doubt but.......................
    GOD BLESS
I hope there comes a day when cancer goes back to just being a zodiac sign

remember the first gift that u got as a grown up? the one u loved so much? a play station or xbox maybe? or that other toy that you are still attached to? what about your fav coffee mug or your fav seat? they are all emotionless and lifeless objects but we do get attached to them and i or anyone else has no right to tell you that being a grown up man you shouldnt get attached to it.

anyways, coming to the theory that metals have emotions, and me being a metallurgist myself from Mehran UET, i think there is some truth to it. there has been some research in Japan where a scientist studied the effect of Quranic verses being recited over a glass of water. when the frozen water was observed under microscope, the frozen molecules were found to have nice ffancy shapes. when they said some bad words on the water it became really chaotic in appearance. there is some research going on in "Shape memory alloys" where when the alloy experiences stress and is distorted, upon heating the alloy at a certain temperature, it regains its shape. kinda like how u treat a person badly and the relationship goes bad but apologizing to the person will bring the relationship back to normal
