Aslamualaikum Bhai ... thanks for your nice words about the car ...

For the lock, I first went to Rescue 15 office on Faisal Avenue ... originally the vendor sold his locks there, however, the police informed me that the vendor has shifted ..

I found the office of the vendor behind the Green Trust Tower building in Blue Area, on Nazimuddin Road F-6/1.. Sorry I dont have the exact house number or phone ... but should not be difficult to locate... Green Tower is adjacent to UBL Building and OGDC Towers

Bhai, we must understand it clearly that there is no lock in the world which cannot be cut or removed. However, depending on the complexity of the lock and its strength, the thief needs more time. Often, the thieves are short of time, so they divert their attention to "easier" cars.

Your lock looks good ... could you tell me where I can find this in Islamabad, RWP or Lahore?

I had seen that ad too ... however, when I went to Rescue 15 office, they guided me to a house behind Green Tower, Blue Area to purchase the lock. The vendor also sells car trackers and also house security equipment.

I purchased my lock in June 2010

Its price was 1600-1700 .. and it came with a medium sized "american lock" .. made in China ... which I replaced with a much larger and heavier padlock of the same type

sir g u r rite that all locks can b cut so theifs choose easier cars.
My point is that the lock u r using is hidden n a person while cutting it cant be noticed by the passersby so he ll be ok with the cutting process , on the other hand cutting the locks mounted above the steering wheel can be viewed by many passersby and even if they dont do anything like we expect ppl here in Pakistan but still the thief will get panic on the feeling of being watched. That the reason I went for a lock which can be applied on the steering wheeel.

Use this.....as mentioned earlier in this thread no lock gives u 100% gaurante against theft but they all act as a deterent and should be visible and should make the theft attempt harder.

I think these kind of security measures are the best to protect your car. The purpose is to increase the time duration that a person may take to open your car. A car lifter will never take a risk over these 15-20 mins and would prefer to go for a different unsecured car...

I think it is applied on the pedals of your car. You can lock either three or two of the pedals. I haven't used it myself so Sattar bhai would be able to give you the exact guidance.
