I totally agree with you Sattar Bhai. The company of elders really teach you a lot. I used to go to my paternal and maternal homelands regularly just because I used to get a chance to sit with my elders and learn from what they talk. They used to discuss everything; politics, education, philosophy, poetry, cricket, you name it... I remember, when I was a kid, my Great Grandfather was working on some gravitational engine and he was the first person who gave me a lecture on gravity. I really miss that time...

That thread moves daily ... and my most important priority in visiting that thread is that the balance of "pyar" and "respect" is there.

I had my best friendship relationship with my father. He used to say that biggest dilemma of the young generation is that they are too busy and don't have the time to sit with elders. There are so many things that we learn from books, tv, friends, school/ college/ university ... but there is no alternative to the sharing of an elder person sharing his knowledge and experience with them.

A thought just banged my mind. You should definitely know about these things. After all you are in the Ministry that's working for their development. I think the plan of "No ID Card for Women" is in the pipeline and will be executed by you Ministry.

Default Brother Istafa's post in Namak Mirchi

Project "Laadli" - My Toyota Corolla GLi 2010 - icon7 Economics at its best.
A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum:

Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?

I'm going to be honest of what I'm going to say here. I'm 25 this year. I'm very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above.

You might say that I'm greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York.

My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual salary? Are you all married?

I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you?

Among those I've dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit.

If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden(?), $250k annual income is not enough.

I'm here humbly to ask a few questions:

    1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
    2) Which age group should I target?
    3) Why most wives of the riches are only average-looking? I've met a few girls who don't have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys.
    4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (my target now is to get married)

    Ms. Pretty
A philosophical reply from CEO of J.P. Morgan:

    Dear Ms. Pretty,

I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyse your situation as a professional investor.

My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope

everyone believes that I'm not wasting time here.

From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain.

Put the details aside, what you're trying to do is an exchange of "beauty" and "money" : Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square.

However, there's a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can't be prettier year after year.

Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It's not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worse 10 years later.

By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a "trading position".

If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term - same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or "leased".

Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Hope this reply helps. If you are interested in "leasing" services, do contact me.

    signed,

    J.P. Morgan CEO

Hahaha... In our calculation, when we see such small factor, we simply ignore it by saying it is negligible.

Actually the mandate of my Ministry leans more towards the protection of women than development. It is really heart breaking to see how less privileged women are treated in this society

According to my wife ... 2/150,000X2 must be a very high figure, otherwise, I would not spend hours and hours looking at the screen. So many times, she comes and tries to look at the screen ... to find if I am talking to a "chick" .. and then she leaves, waving her head ... the same way as your avatar

Hahaha... Thanks for liking Sattar Bhai.

Jokes apart, yes you are right. Most of the men specially "shauhar tabqa" are not aware of the rights of women and their responsibilities. Once, I was discussing it with a friend of mine who is taking Islamic education after completing her engineering and I came to know about their rights and I didn't have a word to say as I was completely shocked. If men get to know the facts, they would think at least twice before declaring themselves as "eligible bachelors". As far as our society is concerned, it indeed is heart breaking. I think they also discussed it in Hasb-e-Haal a few days ago. Really alarming.

Hahaha... This kind of head waving is fine Sattar Bhai. Imagine if Bhaabi jee sees you talking to a girl, then the movement of head wont be from left to right, it would be from up to down...

    Discrimination against women ..

The problem is not in the law and constitution, or our religion ..

The problem emanates from our very ancient roots buried in a society where women had an inferior situation.

We see cases of gang rape, women buried alive, women buried alive, women married off to Quran, women being married off against their will and consent, acid being thrown on their faces ...

There is no short cut to these problems ... education, awareness, and understanding can slowly bring in the desired social change.

Experience teaches us many things ... like in the situation of "head moving from up to down" position, simply try acting tired ... ask for a cup of tea, followed by coffee, followed by pakoray, and then imli/ aaloo bukharay ka sharbat ... easy!!!

Two friends were discussing the issue of reaction by their spouses when they reached home late ..

First one: I turn off the head lights of my car, turn off the engine of my car, sneak in, and try to find my way to the way very silently .. and then suddenly, in pitch darkness, I hear "dhai baj gaye hain"

Other one: When I get late, I start honking the horn from two blocks away, bang the car into the gate, and then I enter the house, I slam the doors shut, turn on all the lights on the way to bed room, and I loudly ask "aaj kya pakaya hai" .. and my wife never opens her eyes ...

    Easy .. isn't it!!!
