Installation of tweeters is something which can make a lot of difference in sound quality. The little speakers must be accurately aimed at the person ... it seems easy, but very difficult to achieve.

This is a very professional installation, and you have to sit in the car and listen to it yourself. Yes, some cosmetic improvement can be done, but it is a 5-minute job.

I have done the fiberglass fabrication myself and I can tell you that whosoever has fabricated it for DrShaggy, has done an excellent job.

I had seen such installations in photos and I did not like the idea, However, when I heard DrShaggy's system, I realized it was very important to install the tweeters in this way. I have been having issues with my tweeters ... they get dislodged very often, and they need to be fixed properly.

I am not in the mood to handle fiberglass again in the near future, but InshaAllah, I will try to copy Dr Saheb's design and achieve it without any damage or scars to the car's interior ... but here again, I will have to seek his expertise in properly aiming them first

I agree with you .... There is a large contrast in mental image that we make of him from his posts on PW ... and when you meet him in person. He is MashaAllah very very soft spoken, gentleman ... (that does not mean he is not polite in his postings ... )

Even the photos from yesterday do not completely depict his complete personality ...

Let me re-post his photo from Kallar Kahar ... I dont remember whether I commented on this photo earlier or not ... It was extremely hot in Kallar Kahar ... and the heat was unbearable ... his face was red ... he could not stand outside ... he turned on the AC in his car, but did not close the door, so that others might not feel his "isolation mode" ... He is just too polite MashaAllah

    Default Laadli's re-wiring on 18th June 2011

Laadli's audio system wiring was done on 18th June ... it started with Dynamatting the remaining part of the trunk in the morning, and finally finished at 2.00 am (in the morning of 19th June before the GTG)

I could not post the photos earlier because after that we have been posting videos and photos of the GTG

I hope you will enjoy reading this major DIY

I sent Ghulam Hussain to Mr. Amir, the installer at Disco Music with the car at 10 am ... since Amir had not arrived by that time, Ghulam Hussain had the time to finish the Dynamatting of the trunk floor ... we could not complete the trunk last time because we ran out of Dynamat.

It was a busy day for me in the office so I could not join the team earlier ... I joined them at 3 PM but during this time, I remained in telephonic contact with the team ...

A complex and sophisticated system like the one in Laadli, requires utmost care ...

The major thing that we accomplished that day was get rid of the clutter of the wires in the trunk area due to installation of cross over networks of the component speakers installed in the doors. Previous installation had some logic behind it i.e. to keep the cross overs accessible for adjustments. Installers usually connect them and throw them behind the headunit ... where it is difficult to take them out and adjust. What Amir achieved had certainly more logic behind it, he removed the crossovers from the trunk, and put them in accessible areas, while at the same time keeping them invisible, and he totally avoided the wiring clutter.

Now lets post the photos ... I took the photos starting at 3 pm ... I will explain them as they come in sequence.

Safety should be ensured whenever you install anything more than one ordinary amp and a woofer. With three heavy amps in place, there is considerable load on the car's electrical system.

In this photo, you can see Stinger 150 ampere circuit breaker. It is necessary to install the circuit breaker as close to the battery as possible preferably not more than one foot.

In this photo, you can see the thick 2 gauge wire enclosed in protective duct which I had passed under the carpeting during the Dynamatting DIY ... the light grey ducts show the previous multiple wires which connected the amps to battery individually

The trunk sans the amp rack and the subwoofers ... looks so empty

In this photo, you can also see the Kenwood 718s which came off from the rear deck ... and they were replaced by Hertz components from the front doors ..

This is the cross over network of the new Focal components in the front doors. Amir installed them neatly inside the foot panels
