Budget>>> You should take a look at my bank accounts ... I guess you will be very shocked ... and I still manage it in my fixed income .. I am a salaried person

Enthusiasm>>> Here perhaps, I overcome the constraints ... I get tired ... I get sick ... but I just go on. So many times, I just drop dead at the bed, and then next morning I start a new day.

In some aspects, you have several advantages ,,, you live in Karachi, and you should not face the problem of finding stuff for your car. Today I ordered many new things and all of them are coming from Karachi and Lahore ... It is possible to find mediocre stuff in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but if your focus is on quality and uniqueness, then of course, you have to get the stuff from Lahore, Karachi, or ... abroad.

Transfer to Karachi >>> I really wish it was feasible for me to shift to Karachi. Around early 80s, I stayed in Karachi for a week, and at that time, I felt it was the best city anywhere ... But then things kept on changing, and earlier this year, I received posting orders for Karachi ... and I narrowly escaped. I guess family considerations stopped me from going to Karachi.

There is no issue at all in our working together on a project ... Aap hukam to karain

Laadli would love to see Karachi but I guess I am a little over the hill for a long drive. During my college days, I drove to Karachi from Lahore twice, and did not feel tired ... once drove from Lahore to Gilgit with very little rest ...

Lahore is our mid-way point (almost) so our cars can meet each other there, however, as far as traveling by air is concerned, I can fly to Karachi anytime.

U also reached to same conclusion as i have also the same obligation, that how a sprayed layer can be even, aftergone through my diy i find out that it is very difficult to equlize the spray layers at different places, moreover it is a water based compound so will wash out with rain or service water.

There is always lot of fun in breaking the rules

I was just having a mango ... and mango does not taste well if eaten with a fork ... so I had to wash my hands before touching the white keyboard

One material i like most is like underlay of the carpet embeded in almunium layer. i will try to make that sheet in home, will try then will publisize.

Let me first share an observation ... the aluminum layer with Dynamat is quite stretchable ... quite different from the kitchen foil we use, which tears with little bit of stress.

Now .. you are the sound dampening Guru ... and we are all listening very carefully

Honestly, I am very glad that you decided to do stuff with your own hands ... I used to do a lot of DIY stuff during my school and college days. but then after joining service I became very lethargic and now I feel very happy that I am doing stuff with my own hands

This is the old type of Dynamat ... Now the new one is Dynamat Xtreme which is much more dense and effective than the original type of Dynamat.

The installer has covered the inner sheet metal ... this leaves the outer skin of the car vulnerable to vibrations caused due to the movement of the speaker in the door. He did not install DynaXorb which might have decreased the outer door vibrations to some extent.

The crutchfield installation method is what I followed. Dynamat recommends covering whole of the inner door surface without leaving the openings and ... only leaving the essentials ... I did not do that ... I covered only the sheet metal because sooner or later some installer and mechanic has to reach out inside the door for adjustments, etc.

The video showed cleaning of the surfaces with methylated spirit ... which is very important in all cars except for very new ones.
