One material i like most is like underlay of the carpet embeded in almunium layer. i will try to make that sheet in home, will try then will publisize.
Looking forward to see the results of the DIY ... May I make a suggestion ... first do it in some inexpensive car .. offer a "free sound deadening" to someone, and when you are satisfied, then do it on ASHwariya

This is the old type of Dynamat ... Now the new one is Dynamat Xtreme which is much more dense and effective than the original type of Dynamat.

The installer has covered the inner sheet metal ... this leaves the outer skin of the car vulnerable to vibrations caused due to the movement of the speaker in the door. He did not install DynaXorb which might have decreased the outer door vibrations to some extent.

The crutchfield installation method is what I followed. Dynamat recommends covering whole of the inner door surface without leaving the openings and ... only leaving the essentials ... I did not do that ... I covered only the sheet metal because sooner or later some installer and mechanic has to reach out inside the door for adjustments, etc.

The video showed cleaning of the surfaces with methylated spirit ... which is very important in all cars except for very new ones.

Thanks for the detail explanation, i am confused with this video, so it has to be done on both surfaces.

I would recommend that you apply rubber paint to the exterior door skin only ... it might get messy in case of inner side and cause any damage to the door trim ... please DO NOT throw away the plastic door lining ... Dynamat recommends throwing it away, but DON'T

After you do the deadening, re-apply the plastic protective sheet

I dont know which area in Karachi has the stuff, but do look and ask around for Peel&Seal or similar compounds for sealing pipes ..

Peel&Seal resembles Dynamat, except that its smell persists for some time
