Indeed ... we pay them for their time and skills, and then it is the customer's prerogative as to what he wants.

We accomplished a lot yesterday ... it was something that we did from scratch .. however, I was really furious when I returned home last night.

First it was the "manmaani of the fabricator, then he decided to double his demand at the time when I made the payment ... Everything was explained to him and he agreed on a certain price. Then, what he did was different and less than what we agreed, and then at the time of payment, he doubled his demand on "no grounds"

Then, it was the selfish upholstery shop. This man uses different identities to promote his shop on PakWheels .. and as the reality goes .. he is "the most ghattiya person" you could ever encounter. I asked him about the cost of covering about 2 sq. ft of cloth .. and he said "bas aap labour kay charges day daina" .. and then when the job was finished, he demanded an insane amount of money ..

It was just sab'r and perseverance on our part that we accomplished this stuff.

We decided that next time we will either do the stuff ourselves or go to Lahore for getting it done.

about the HIDs i am against them, they are made for the proper Projectors not for the reflectors that we have in our cars, they become so annoying to upcoming traffic and there are chances that someone crash into ur car. i watch a show on youtube that is MIGHTY CAR MODS, and its presenter said "Hid's in reflectors is an acronym for HELLO!! I am a DI*K HEAD" infact before watching that episode I had same comment for people who put HID's in Reflector Headlights, I dont want to hurt anyone personally, i am just sharing my thoughts

It's true that the onlookers see it as "cool" modification, but considering the usefulness and the pitfalls, I am not for HIDs ...

They are not meant to be installed in the normal headlights of cars, but greedy shopkeepers just sell their merchandize without informing the customers about the repercussions.

I might change my headlights if I can get hold of original toyota lights

Please take some photos of these places, if possible .. PWers will love that train train traveling almost vertically
Here you go. Took it tonight. The weather has not been clear since long in HK. There is too much smog which results in a noisy night picture.

Yes, Hong Kong Island is the one with most of the tall buildings. As a matter of fact, the picture that I have posted is of Hong Kong Island taken from Tsim Sha Tsui, from across the harbor. The areas such as North Point, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central, Quarry Bay etc. are on HK Island. In the picture, you can see a building at the left most corner with a Red light at the top, I live over there.

Brother Madhouse has finally figured out a way to get the photos out of his camera .... looking forward to progress on Laadli's DIY now.

That was just a "Bongi" from the manufacturers. Maybe they just had to put an LED to attract customers so they did so. And just made up the blinding story.

the first thing i noticed when i got the panels is that the upholstery guy did a F'ed job and the shop owner claimed that they do "original" looking work. we all now what "original" means to these guys...

the back side had so many creases in the cloth that it would have been impossible to get a good finish from it...

so i took a knife to the creases and flattend em

    sure he did lousy job
i hate when they claim sky high credibility of teir work and end result is not even 10% closer to original..

Thanks for liking the photo. It rained a few days back. This one is a fresh picture. Six and a half hours old only.

No, I don't have it but will take many pictures of HK before leaving. That train is also in the list. However, I do have some pictures of the peak.
