Bohat aala Sattar bhai... Neat and clean! I think all those hours of hard work and dedication have showed up. Madhouse bhai has also done a great job and have proved to be a good uncle.

I am anxiously waiting for a video to listen to the new setup of Laadli. I think you should upload one.

    MashAllah everything is looking good.

Bhai .. you almost read my mind. InshaAllah, I will record a video and share it here. But first let's wait for Brother Madhouse to complete all the tweaking required. We are in urgent need of an amplifier 6-channel or two 4-channel identical amps to ensure uniform output to all the 3-pairs of Hertz.

The thread has been viewed close to 30,000 times, and I am surely thankful to all of "Laadli's PW Uncles" for their attention and continuous contribution of ideas, comments, and even criticism

I think Laadli is very lucky

+1; if you want Sunroof; go for Altis SR; but practically speaking I dont think we need Sunroof in Pakistan where we tint the side mirrors! Its a waste of money and just a status symbol I beleive...

I don't consider it a status symbol as well ..

It is certainly not meant for countries where temperatures could shoot north of 50 degrees ...

Even in Islamabad, the temp reaches 45 degrees regularly during summer. I have not leaned towards tinting of windows, but I keep the removable shields for at least three windows in place. Sometimes, we are required to keep the windows visible, so at that time, removable blinds option is better.

Pata hai, I'd agree with you instead of being a Sunroof fan! I had an oriel and I was not looking at a simple VTi just because it did not have a sunroof. I missed many good cars for that reason as well. I did not bought my uncle's black VTi with 8000 kms on the ODO. :/

But after having an Oriel, the only use of sunroof was to "tilt" it up. It is more of a "Shashka" than a requirement. Even the car that I have in HK has a sunroof. I don't remember the last time when I opened it...

    no doubt...but:

Altis is good for people like my dad; who dont like the hassle of "customizing the car" and need things out of box. Altis no doubt is a good package; got bigger engine, SRS and few more electronics. I beleive its got back speakers and tweeters in side doors too? (Atleast they exists in SE Saloon). Unfortunately Altis got less resale; and GLI' got the fun for people like us who want to spend few bucks more in enhacing and customizing the rides

Altis does not have six speakers contrary to what Toyota claims ... they count two paperthin speakers at the rear deck, two paper thin speakers in front doors and two sub-standard tweeters (located inside of the side mirrors) as a package of Six Speakers ... I think none of us would agree that it can be counted as a good package ... (No, they dont have speakers in rear doors)

I did consider Altis last year when I wanted to purchase the car ... I did a cost/ benefit analysis and concluded that with all the custom modifications intended, Altis would be a bad choice.

SRS airbag is surely a good consideration ... but keeping in mind, the planned sound system of the car, there is good likelihood of the airbag going off ... yes, it has happened !!!

I think the possibility of an airbag going off due to excessive sound waves cannot be precluded. Once I opened the volume in basement of my office building, and all the cars had a problem .. their alarms went off .. together

I doubt the quality of SRS in Pakistan...I once had an accident in SE Saloon (which has driver side Air bag) back in 2004/2005. In night while driving on (typical Punjab) highway applied the brakes on seeing Donkey cart that appeared suddenly. The car skidded; down to kucha but no SRS was applied. Lucky me it didnt rolled! Buss Kaghzi Karwai Lagti Hey . Has anyone expereinced genuine SRS being applied ever in Indus Corolla? I dont think there is any light telling driver that SRS sensor / system is working in Altis...

Personally, I don't know anyone who has experienced that. However, I have heard that they don't go off just as you have mentioned

Airbag will not go off, unless you wear the seat belt

Yes; I was wearing the seat belt...I always try to wear it on long routes atleast

It skidded to kacha; while skidding turned from straight to left; continued slipping until it hit the base of some road side board. A tire blasted and side skirt which hit the base of the board broke. Alhamdulillah no injury what-so-ever...The speed was about 90Kmph. There was no major collission and nothing was hit in front...
