The Pakistani maps provided by a single company www.naqsha.net are still not comprehensive. Those offered by Google Earth are far more comprehensive. That can be accessed only through internet.

The 718s were installed by the installer at HyperStar Lahore in June last year. As far as I recall, no cutting was involved. As you must have seen the photo, the speakers have been installed UNDER the metal sheet.

Couple of months ago, when I got the Pioneer Components installed, the installer in Blue Area, Islamabad suggested that the 718s should be re-installed on top of the metal sheet. That means that it would involved some cutting.

Bhai, I could not really understand your comment. If you mean that you don't need navigation in Pakistan ... then I would say that in Islamabad, people do not usually bother to know the layout of streets in different sectors. Many times, the navigation system has proved to be a blessing in finding street addresses quickly.

Furthermore, I have to travel often to Lahore and Gujranwala. These cities are undergoing changes so quickly, that it is not easy to remember the landmarks.

The speedometer on the navigation panel is also a blessing. The installed speedometer has an error of about +10%. I travel on N5 where the speed limit is 100 km in open areas. The Motorway Police allows 10% margin on the speed limit. That means we can drive @ 110 km/hr. However, beyond that the motorist can be fined. The speedometer on the GPS provides accurate speed measurement.

Thanks for the comments on Laadli's entertainment system. InshaAllah, we will see big improvement in the near future after installation of IPAD or new headunit, and JBL MS-8

The DVD/ Navigation system was installed by Toyota @ Rs. 42,000, while the camera was bought for Rs. 3,000 from the installer at HyperStar Lahore.

The cigarette lighter sockets are not available in Islamabad (at least I could not find them), so I bought them @ Rs. 500 each from Online Shopping Pakistan - Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Laptops, Mobile Phones, Camera, Electronics. (an online shop in Karachi. They sent by courier (free of cost) and I made the payment at the time of delivery by TCS courier. They are good and cooperative people. However, I just checked their website. The model I have in car is now Rs. 999, while there is another one without USB for Rs. 500. Here is the link
    Symbios

The CNG kit was installed by Toyota Islamabad Motors in late July or August last year.

In the beginning, it was really a painful experience. I regretted the decision for getting CNG installed in the car. The car gave a lot of trouble. You can imagine what effect it had on my mind after having spent so much money on a brand new car. The problem increased whenever I traveled to Lahore. The gas in Lahore is different from Islamabad. Islamabad is supplied with natural gas from Gujjar Khan wells, which have the highest BTU value in Pakistan. After every visit to Lahore, I had to go to CNG mechanic at Toyota Islamabad Motors.

When it happened several times, I shouted at the Advisor in Toyota Motors for having installed rubbish in my car. That worked. The car was checked on computer diagnostics, and the problem was diagnosed. It was a faulty emulator. They replaced the emulator and since then it has been working very fine.

Among the cars that I have had so far, Laadli gives the best mileage. The 55 litre cylinder lasts for 150-160 km in Islamabad city driving. In summer, with AC on, I get the CNG filled from Islamabad and it runs for 230 km on N5. I cross Gujranwala when the red light comes on.

In winter, with AC off, I don't have to get CNG all the way to Lahore. That means it is giving mileage of 290km+ on a full cylinder.

The above averages are for CNG filled in Islamabad. The mileage drops significantly when it is filled in Lahore or on the way back to Islamabad.

Another important point .... Toyota Islamabad Motors first installed a Toyota Emulator. After I shouted at them, they installed Emulator meant for Honda. It has been working perfect.

My car has no issues regarding pickup .. it runs like a charm on CNG .. MashaAllah

This morning, Laadli's trunk lid looked like this

After my office hours, I went to an upholstery shop and asked them to copy the XRS lining. This shop was the same one which prepared the CNG partition in Laadli earlier.

We discussed various options. My additional demand was that it should also act as sound deadening material (Like Dynamat). So finally it was decided to sandwich a foam sheet between two layers of fireproof "Namda"

.. and then it was placed roughly inside the trunk lid
