    Default Which Wax is best for 3 Months old Strong Blue Corolla

    Guys, need your views on this. Which one of the mentioned below would be most suitable. The prime objective is the protection and secondly the deep wet look, and thirdly the long durability. I dont mind doing wax once a month and washing may be every week.

    1- Meguirs NXT Generation® Tech Wax® 2.0
    2- Mothers Synwax
    3- Meguirs Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax
    4- Mothers Pure Carnauba

    Thanks,

    use mothers syn fx series or use mothers carnuba cleaner + pure carnuba wax for brilliant shine and protection. You can buy these from Shahid autos and car accessories in F-10 Markaz Islamabad.

    I have used Maguires NXT 2.0 and trust me Mothers FX Syn Wax is Far much better and easiar to apply and remove the Result is Breathtakingly Great !! as a Matter of fact Maguires Disappointed me Big time. For Amazing Results Use Mothers Carnauba Wax following up with a thin Coat of FX Syn Wax !! Another product which i am still looking for Mothers Seal& Glaze !!

    Appreciate sharing your experience....but i think a better approach could be to apply first the syntehtic wax and then the natural wax. this because the polymers present in syntehtics need clear paint surface in order to adhere properly and yield desirable results (no oils ..no dust) ... and adding carnauba on top of it(syntehtic wax coat) brings the depth of color and shine...thats what i have learnt from the international forums i recently visited...

    You are correct. The best method is to

    1)Apply synthetic wax and wait 12 hours for curing
    2)Apply carnauba wax and wait 12 hours for curing
    3)Apply Top coat

    After procedure 1) do not shampoo the car and only wipe the car using water spray or if needed with water only

    As far as your original query goes, I havn't yet used NXT 2.0 but people all over the world swear its the best synthetic wax. Mothers synwax is good and lasts 2-3 weeks at max. It will give you the gloss but not the depth. Mother Carnauba wax will give you immense depth but it hardly lasts 1 week. For you what I would suggest is either

    1)Meguiars NXT 2.0 + Mothers Reflections Top Coat

    OR

    2)Mothers synwax + Mothers Reflections Top Coat

    Avoid Carnauba wax because that demands alot of hardwork and continuous applying i.e. every week plus it is also harder to remove.

    The longest lasting shine I've experienced in our dusty weather is with TechWax 2.0. Generally I apply it over a good Carnauba wax first. You could use GoldClass from Meguiars and then TechWax over it.

    If you want to go really hard core you can add a paint sealant on top of those two, something like Wolfgang (but that's not available here).

    thanks guys for the input.
    Doing it weekly is impossible for me. I am not a detailing freak and the car is daily runner too..i cant baby it too much....avoiding rains and direct sunlight is impossible....like i spent nearly four hours on sunday and on the same night there was nasty dust and rain storm...and yesterday it kept raining almost the entire day .... well this is how it normally goes...

    Well opinion here is fairly mixed and i am still confused between mothers synwax and meguirs techwax.

    @mani
    you recommend mothers reflection for extra shine or it acts as a sealant to the wax?

    No its not a sealant. It is just a top coat for added gloss. Applying it once a month wouldn't hurt

    i second that ever since mani shared the tip with me, it has worked wonders on the outcome of my car's detailing sessions.

    the exact tried and tested procedure was: Day 1 shampoo followed by a coat of Mothers Syn Wax / Day 2 a simple wash with water followed by the Mothers caranuba wax and finally an application of mothers top coat.

    my personal experience states that the above lasts a week and a half max on cars that are driven daily.

    lasting for only a week and a half !!! and you think it's a wonderful method...shouldn't you look for something which lasts at least for a month unless you are detailing freak.....

    @subzwari
    the method of waxing your car once every 3 months does not apply to the dusty weather conditions of pakistan. it frankly is all about one's personal preference. i have seen people who would wash, leave alone wax, their cars in two months; and to top it off the wash is conducted using 'surf'-a cloth detergent, as opposed to a car shampoo.

    as i said its a personal preference i get my cars done every two weeks and the prized possessions every week irrespective. some people can tolerate a dirty car early in the morning, some prefer it to be wiped clean and some prefer it to be shined off as a recent delivery every single day!
