    Default Toyota Gli Under Power issue

    Dear Pak Wheelers !
    This is my first time on Pakwheels for asking anything, I had a Honda City-2010 model from April till Sep 2010, for one reason or another i sold it & bought a Gli in December 2010.
    I realise that its very much underpowered & has no pick or sustainable speed ratio as compared to Honda City, also due to very poor fuel economy i had to install CNG & now it drives like a truck in terms of speed & pick. Somone suggested me to install "two pin spark plugs(i am not sure about the correct name of it)" , can you guys advise me about these plugs, i mean are they OK or damage the engine and/or is there also any other way of enhancing the engine performance. i am also changing the Oil at 3000km instead of recommended 5000km from Toyota Islamabad.
    Any suggestions ?

    regards, Khurram

    @nosha

    no dount fuel economy you may have suffer while shifting from city...but car being underpower is only cuz of something faulty or CNg installation

    keep the plugs same ...and use oil from toyota and use them till 5k ..running 3k wont make big difference ..

    yaar i sold city coz i had to return some one's money, then when i had money to
    re-buy, i said lets why not enjoy Toyota for a change, hence the event of buying Gli occured. they say give the Devil its due=so one thing is that Gli i feel is more luxurious then City in terms of suspension and shocks & has excellent road grip. City i felt had stiff suspension & it went little bit side ways on braking at high speed coz its made so light weight so i think in terms of road grip due to weight & being more wide corolla is better, it only downside is poor engine performance & less fuel efficieny

    HONDA City is advanced technology car, whereas, gli is same toyota engine with minor modification. GLI is a decent driving car not a racing car. change the plugs to iridium.

    im having the same car and there is no issue with pick on cng . you just need to block half of the air. and there is no need to replace plugs go with the genuine.

    as you mentioned i did get half of the air blocked from Toyota ISB, but before that the mileage it used to give me was around 150KM/cng tank, now it has dropped to 125KM with full CNG consumed, is this the maximum it will give ? my cylinder is 55(being fitted by Toyota).

    when you block the air you also have to reduce the pressure from pressure regulator you will have to spend some tym on your car . pressure regulator ko clockwise rotate karo aur jab kafi pick kam ho jai tab bht slightly anticlockwise rotate karo bht thora karna hai drive karo agar pick kam hai aur rotate karo anticlk bhat thora thora kartai raho jab ap ki desire pick ho jai tab fill karwa kar daikho kya average karti hai. i hope u will understand what im trying to say coz speaking power nai hai merai pas
