    Default 2011 corolla performance

    AOA

I visit Lahore on last weekend on my new corolla, it was her first out station trip, over all performance was good and I like to share my experience with other corolla owners and those who are planning to buy one.......

car was done 7800 kms when i left Islamabad via GT road, petrol tank was 75% filled and it was showing half when i reach Lahore, max avg shown by meter 14 kms/ltr whn i cross Gujranwala with air conditioner

max avg shown on my way back on highway after jehlum was 14.20

i drive on 90-100 kms per hour only touch 120-130 twice

one thing i really enjoyed was its road grip as u can cross any curve of GT road with 100 kms speed and won't feel gravity while turning.....

    Air-conditioner performance was good

Whn u drive at 2500 rpm ur car touch 80 km and to touch 100 u need to push it to 3000 rpm, between 2500 to 3000 it sound wired but after 3000 it become smooth again and at 4000 rpm it touch appx 130 kms

overall its performance was good and total fuel consumption on highway was appx Rs. 4,000/- RT

I think it will be pleasure to drive this car with 1.6/1.8 engine but it will also cost much higher and whn their is no cng in future

    Thks

    Congratulation of your car.

hmmmm, every car has pros and cons, it has better Road Grip, Better Brakes but on the pick side (Sensor Pedal) it has some lagness but overall its good. You can improve the mileage by having light footed and also slow acceleration.

one more thing i like to share

i put rexene type ready-to-put sheet on carpet though everyone criticize it but i found it very very good coz it took not more than 10 min to clean flooring after removing floor mats

New 1.6L Corolla gives 15+ easily with 120 range driving and even in brake-in period!

A friend has got 1.6L Altis M/T recently and what I am hearing is that its fuel consumption figures, even with 1.6L engine, are better than 1.3L XLi/GLi

salamz every one well as well as the milage is concearned corollas 1.3 gives excellent milage my 2011 new shape corolla gave me 16 above on motorway with Ac and i was really amaized where as my 2009 xli has never crossed this mark but still very much satisfactory

On the other hand New 1.6 auto and manual will be definately more efficient because they have introduced dual efi technology . . .it will be great but 1.8 are not at all good on fuel.. . . .

I have gli 1.3 with 1600 km on the odo.
On GT rd with AC from Isb to Mangla it gave me an average of 16.5 (100kmph) and on motorway from Lahore to Kallar Kahar it was 13.3 (at around 130 kmph with AC). What do you guys think? People say it would even improve after some 5k on the odo ... may be.
Does feel a little underpowered when I compare it with my ex ride i.e. 2006 xli (which was on CNG)
    Comments please.
