    get rid of general tyres.
    it will make some difference.
    u have to live it. it has to be driven cautiously because of its limited handling capabilities.

    at a high speed of 125kms only two cars wont give you anything no matter what tyres they have charade 88 and Daewoo Racer.... they stick to the ground and have weight in them.... XLI has been built to Run fast, you must have noticed the high acceleration of the car its due to the fact that the car is extra-light, donot cross 110 kms/hour with General tyres... put some michellin/Pirelli tyres with a width of 195/205, you will feel the difference right away

    i think it was a gust of wind,,,,but still it should not have happened,,,,i drove cultus at speeds of 140..with stock tyres nothing ever happened,,,,,i think i have to change the tyre size from 175 to 185,, that will rectify the thinghs i hope,,,but surely my confidence in this car is shaken badly,,,,,,if it happenes againg then...........................

    it must be the croswind.. caz once i was drivinf spectra on motoraw at 120 adn the crosswinds shook the car and i had to slow down to like 80. and spectra is heavier then any car of its class in pak and is stable too

    Follow the speed limit! Its a Corolla not a Koniegsegg. You should be aware of crosswinds in places such as bridges and flats after exiting a ravine/valley etc. Maybe instead of changing your tires, you should go for a license re-evaluation.

    Most probably the reason was crosswinds. About 10km (maybe a bit more) after leaving islamabad you do get a signboard indicating strong crosswinds, and you can always feel them. They have a lot of effect on a light car.
    Still you should get it checked by Toyota. Tell them to check all the nuts/bolts etc to see if something is suspicious.

    @fli_gti

    well,,so is it possible to slow down the car speed at every bridge??? i think it is not possible,,,i mean what the hell,,,the gust of wind throws a car like toyota out of balance from centre lane to first lane,,,,ok lets admit it was a one time event,,BUT the bloody swaying is also there while crossing trucks ,,buses in the first lane,,

    ,i have to switch over to third lane while crossing them,,,,i mean there is no confidence,,,,of caR balance.......

    is it because of tyres?or empty(i mean one person) car?

    or is it the problem in new toyota

    @hashu

    i think i might be joining the "toyota problem club"soon........................but APARt from the swaying,,the car works fine,,, including Brakes.........................

    @asd123, firstly get rid of the stock tyres! Secondly, I was giving a comparison between driving at 120Kph on Margalla road(where cross winds are negligent due to the built up area, so the car doesnt sway much), as compared to driving in open terrain such as the motorway, where there are heavy cross winds and can be felt even at 80/90Kph!

    Put on 195/xx/R14 tyres.

    From what I remmeber ... this Corolla body was made for minimum 195 tyres.

    They will trade your General tyres.

    If you are keeping the stock rim then 185's will serve you fine. Still not as good grip as the ones mentioned above.

    u will have to get good tyres like yoko's,
    plus lower the car down a little, with stiffer suspension for good handling. Ofcourse its a new car and in the end u will only opt to change the tyres and do "Guzara" with rolla handling.
