    On CNG Liana
On Petrol, City and Liana both
Corolla doesnt perform well on CNG and on petrol it gives less mileage than city and liana both...

@g16b - my Xli does 160 km on CNG per 55 kg cylinder - on full AC it does 130 - and that is within city... on highways you add 30 to both figures - can city beat that?

On petrol - Xli does 14 km/l inside city and on M2 I did 16 km/l , that is superb for a 1.3 DOHC engine

My XLi does 14+/lit in city, yet its 2NZFE engine is so powerful like a beast. Pick is amazing and even in fifth gear you can lift the car like anything.

It is DOHC. Which Toyota website you were browsing. Here is IMC website specs page for Corolla.

2NZ-FE is a bomb! 3rd gear can hit 140, 4th can go upto 180, dont know if it picks up in 5th?

Taken a GLI to 175km/h myself on M3, though I wouldn't recommend it (with any tires) because the car tends to "float" over the road at 90km/h+.

Over 12,000km (within 4 months), our average for the GLI was 12-14km/litre, mostly driving inside Islamabad and often ISB-PESH.

I'm pretty sure 2NZ-FE is a SOHC, the 1.8 Altis is the DOHC!

2NZ-FE is DOHC guys! If it were with VVT-i then it would whop out about 96BHP as opposed to 88 non-VVT-i! As Fli_Gti mentioned in a reply to my post, he said something about the engine design in Honda's which has much superior DOHC configuration that Toyota(better ask Fli)

GLi goes from 0-120 in a whiz(well kinda!), but still very good initial performance! After you cross 100Kph, the car gets edgy(stock rims), but having a good pair of 14-15" rims, it doesnt budge even till 150! Cheers yo,

    hello!
buddy i think its around 82-83 no VVT-i offered my IMC....VTTi power 2NZ-FE was 88hp........
b/w i think Xli runs best of both petrol and CNG...
but on petrol... it think that I-dsi was the best to give out milage....as power was quiet bad but its milage was better than both Liana and Xli....
b/w....Liana got impressive CNG setup and Milage...........one should buy a FF Liana if he really wan't some better CNG setup.......XLi also performs well on CNG..........

    @exanaxe

lol,,,,my new xli also tend to "float" at speeds above 120km/hr............i think toyota made a mistake by putting max speed of 220 in their cars,,,it should be limited to 140km/hr................at least people wont be misguided,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ha ha ha .

dangerous to go above 120 in new corollas,,,,,,,,,,,,as one memeber will put it""""""TRUST ME""""""

hi,,,,,,i have heard enough **** about this ugly looking car called corolla,,,,,,,,,,,,

guys come out of u r shells,,,,,if u have xli,,,,,,,dont give good complements to it only bcoz u possess it,,,,,,,,,,,

this car is a piece of crap,,,,a 1300 cc car that sways at only 120km/hr has to be something special,,,,,,,,

even my cultus has reached 150 on petrol ,,,and didnt do a thing like swaying

and not to talk of city,,,,,,,,,,,,,ppl who say things about this car ,,,simply are jealous of it,,,,,,,,,a 1300 car that gives you 16km/litre in city (atleast my car gives me),,,

i have taken it to 170km/hr at topi road towards giki,,,,,,,,,,still i felt that the car cud go 30-40kms more ,,,,,,,,,,,showed no signs on swaying or somethin,,,,,,,,,,,very powerful ac,,,,,,,,,,,,,and those who say that its pick is low,,,,,,,,,,,,come and have a drive of my car,,,,

lastly ,,,,the shitpiece i-e corolla ,,i have seen one of its pics in which it has reached 190km and the engine hotness needle has reached its max limit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so it cant even reach the speeds mentioned much below the max mark

@hamdani_08, shitty 1.3 sucks in acceleration but gets a nice boost after 80 and I've taken a Vario(petrol) up to 160Kph and it does it smoothly! And dude Cultus no match for Xli! Im least bothered, my Cygnus goes from 0-100 in a jiff! Had a modded Cultus trying to race me once...lol! Blasted the bugger in 2 seconds!

@GLi, u say that corolla XLi/GLi can beat baleno?... do u want me to prove that u are wrong? bring any corolla and i'll bring my baleno...you'll see (For Sure) that corolla is nothing in front of baleno.
and by the way, Liana beats the holy **** out of corolla and city both..i guess u are aware of that

@g16b, Baleno the Corolla can take on any day, Liana is even worse looking..wouldnt even want to be seen in one, although performance wise it might take on the Corolla!
