Default which of these old corollas is best on CNG?

    Hi guys..

I have the option of installing CNG in either one of the following two cars:

    -corolla 81 model
    -corolla 74 model

which is best suited for CNG in your opinion. Also, how much mileage should it give in a tank?

what will be the price of CNG kit for these cars.
    Price of new kit?
    price of old kit?

The SUB will do what the BOX tells it to do!

i think as you progress in number of years, the engines become more fuel efficient and powerful as a general rule.
price of new kits efi was around 50k sometime back. carby might be 10k less
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

the KE70 corolla is better as its petrol tank is under the car - you have got room to install the cylinder, and its got a larger engine, its more roomier and has got rear coil springs. the KE20 corolla has a tiny boot and its tiny fuel tank in the boot, if you want to add CNG - you have to live with no boot space or no petrol fuel tank if you want some boot space.

boot space is not an issue. and its not going to be a family car. going to be used for office commute etc...

so ke70 would be better suited?? What would be the CNG mileage per tank on this?

actually, i have both cars at home. but both are lying idle and havent been used in last 10 years.

one is my dadaa's and other is chaacha's. so i plan to get either one ready with CNG installed.

Thanks for the comments and all the help.

    Regards.

the 81 would drive far better than the old 74. that alone is the biggest positive.
