Aoa palshope you all are doing well.I own a 2010 model toyota corolla gli which has done around 11k kms. The car is doing pretty good. Recently however I feel that there is some problem with braking.I feel that the ABS kicks in way earlier than it should, leading to very bad braking distance. Even with not so hard brakes, ABS kicks in multiple times causing larger braking distance. Abs even kicks in very slow street driving when brake is applied for negotiating the speedbreakers on very slow speeds.I have a feeling that this problem has something to do with the 10k service in which toyota guyz services the brakes as the problem is there after 10 k service however if I brake hard cpl of times by stamping the brake pedal then the car remain ok for some time (some hours, days or even a week) .Anyone else has faced this problem and any idea what is causing the problem and how to get it fixed.PS: tires are stock eurostars with stock rimsRegards
Are the tyres still soft or have they become hard? ABS should engage when ever tyre loses its grip. I don't think there should be a problem with the brakes as your car is new. Tyres seem to be fishy here...
+1looks like problem is with his tyres not with brakes
If you go over a bump, the ABS applies, automaticly, thats where the BA (brake assist) comes into play.
There isnt any thing wrong with your car, Its just Pakistani roads for which these cars arnt made.
clean out the wheel sensors triggers.
LoL you and your ABS issues buddy reduce front tyre pressure to factory specs and then check again

sir didnt get u
sir g on same roads car was doing fine before the brake service and for now also one or two hard braking events brings it back to normal and then again after some time(hours, days or even weeks sometimes) the prob is being exp again.any idea?
sir tires are those which came stock with the car (eurostars). Car was manufactured in oct 2010 and came in my ownership in nov 2010 and the odo running is 11k so what do u think about tires?
still tomm I will post the pics of the tread for your viewing.
on your hubs would be star wheels and a stationary magnetic sensor, if the star wheels are dirty plugged with mud or oil and have crud stuck to the sensor magnet - it will not be able to detect wheel speed correctly. Those sensors are for ABS regulation, dirty ones cause crazy regulation.
then you should be smart enough to know it is for the users who reply with a very short reply like LOL or a face only
your previous thread of ABS was similar which i pin pointed. i think you didnt like that
adjust your foot
ur brakes need bleeding...simple...there is air in the system; as u say when u press it hard a cpl o times it vanishes for a few days.Try another dealership, just ask them to re do brakes, only not to face the discs; if u still need help just PM me
sir can u please explain this thing bleeding so that I can make the guyz understand at the dealership . I have yet to visit them regarding this problem so if you can make me understand please . I will be grateful.
sir a car wash will do the trick? your point attracts me as I have drove the car in mud and water during downpour.

Hello,
I have GLI 2009 and drove it 80K km. every thing was fine just a couple days back i start observing the ABS is triggering abnormally. as explained by you even in slow speed. i have changed the front disk pads and did balancing and allignment, but i dont think so thats because of this. What i think is some thing wrong with ABS mechanism, the Sensor etc.Can you please guide me how did you fix this problem.
well mine is driven 46k just got the 45k service done everything working fine till now and still running on stock tires .................
