^ Its normal in every car.

The bright lights are for day time visibility, when u turn on the lights, the car assumes its night, so dim lights are sufficient.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

It happens in my 2005 also, no worries
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

bhai yeh system 81 ki accord mein pehli baar aaya tha.

gari ke manual mein likha tha ke lights dim hoti hein tu aap outside traffic ki lights ko
    better dekh sakte hein.

Try the same with the rear defogger switched on and its light will get dim too.
    BTW its not an issue.
    Its normal.
One of the most difficult things in the world is to know how to do something, and to watch without comment, somebody else do it incorrectly.

It will not effect the resale so do not worry.

Perhaps corolla owners should know why they are buying a corolla.

Bro... its normal thing ... there is not any issue regarding battery or dropped voltage.... its a usual thing....

The reason why AC button, defogger button, lcd dims ... whenever you turn on your lights even parking lights it dims automatically, because in night we turn on the lights and there is dark outside and inside cabin, you can see the on lights easily... but in day light we have no need of lights so it didnt dim...

To check the dimming issue .. in Day time turn on your lights these lights will also dim at that time....

What will be the misery of PK corolla users if IMC starts offering cabin/cluster illumination controls like we get in poor Lianas.
