Brother look closely again I have said it clearly the 1.3 manual is far better then the 1.6 AT as it is better in pick with and without AC....and as you have said it can't carry load well for your information I am converted from diesel to petrol models so I have tested it to the limits it will work with AC in hilly areas not to high but to some extent. I drove mine to muree with full family and full loaded trunk it was touching each breaker on the way and still climbed up with AC.....

I did looked closely buddy,i myself converted from 2.OD saloon 04 to Altis 10.i was in that 1.3 manual with luggage in trunk and 5 people in car on our way from Quetta to Ziarat, many times cousin used to turn off AC because the car needed enough power to go on and the car never went above 140 because of AC.after that the first thing he did that he sold the car and bought a 1.5 fielder.

Really strange as my father and I myself have gone upto 180 with AC....and still we have a bad habit of overloading its due to the old practise on the diesel models no matter hoe much weight the won't touch the road in any condition..

Oh forget to tell you all...somehow I was never a fan of Corolla (locally produced)...always kinda Honda or a Nissan person but since I got a 1.8 Altis...umm my view about Corolla have changed....took it to Norther Areas, was fully loaded with passengers and the boot also...the AC was turned on...and no matter what when ever the accelerator was pressed...the 1.8 engine responded very well....I am impressed by this old fellow

You are always welcome to ask...no matter if it is locked or unlocked Got this one from abroad but I think it should be available for around Rs. 2500-3000 over here.

I am using Curistronic 1.6 2011 for more then two months now. Previous being Gli 2010. Car was changed as wanted to shift to auto transmission. Am surely enjoying the drive; far superior then Gli. The Altis 1.6 (auto) for sure is not a performance car with respect to acceleration, otherwise it gives a wonderful experience as cruising on the road. Mine is SR as well, so the drive feels heavier then Gli 1.3, and even at 170 km/hr (touched once or twice - not really fond) you feel confident with the road grip (dunlop sports - stock size). The pleasure in driving, for surely has revived after switching on to Altis. Haven't taken this one on hikes yet, but the Gli (with boot fill, 2 adults and 3 kids) felt a little underpowered while driving to Nathiagali from Abbottabad. Though, went very smooth to Naraan few months back. Altis with 1.6, though auto, shouldnt give any such adverse feeling though (as yet to visit). Fuel consumption in local wuold be somewhere 9.5 to 10.5 km/litre (with ac) and for long around 14 and plus (depends on driving style).

Nevertheless, I never thought Cruise control would be this much fun on motorways. It takes control and adds the pleasure in drive.

It's strange for altis mt to not have cruise control.

Anyways, got an offer for a golden cruise tonic non sr golden colour 13000 driven.

All I am worried about is the colour:/ shall i go for it or not?

The car is 1.6 and I hope it has better fuel average than Swift
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.
