Back to what you've guided about.. to my knowledge, the stock adding an intake or free flow exhaust does not require adjustments with the ECU.. however if you're talking about big bores, high compression pistons, twin polished heads, ported manifolds etc etc.. you would definitely require adjustments to the ecu.. there's a difference between the level of mods you make and the resulting required change in the ecu settings..
So far, the internals are stock with stock ecu.. it does have headers, free flow pipe, cold air intake.. thats abt it.. Now please correct me if i'm wrong.. does only this little change require adjustments to ECU of a performance engine? I'm a noob.. so kindly explain in easy terms..

if there were ecu's which started to adjust itself to the fuel requirement then i dont think hondata, aem and other stand-alone engine management units would had been in business.lol.

the time of spoon feedings have gone long ago,go to 2zz engine specific sites, search different threads, learn more about your engine online, what issues people face in what circumstances, whats the remedy for so and so problems, what whp does a stock 2zz make etc etc

since the day i swapped in a k-series,its been almost more then 3-4 years..there has not been a single day when i havent logged on to K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum

i have learned so much from there that i cant express, although the tuning part i "experimented" myself on my k24a2. Nobody spoon fed me what to do or how things work in a k-pro,all i had in hand was the eagerness to learn how to tune cars and an engine of my own to experiment,if anything would had gone wrong then i would had blown it.

anyways, you have a long way ahead..search online and start picking things up bit by bit, after 2-3 years if you stick on to this engine then you might gain alot of info which others might not know of the 2zz.

    goodluck in your journey ahead.

Everyone is not same on PW still bro.Infact there are now some people who talk wht they have read on net etc no practical experience online confuse fellow members thts.Better ignore them pls dont waste ur time wth them.
Airflow sensor of this gen toyota n Honda are the craziest.Although Honda 1s are still abit supportive. So computing is must even if one is going for simple intake.
H22 charade is giving 12 13km/litre in dense traffic of Lahore but when it comes for race it even eats 6th gen turbo H22 although its running some boltonns n wht else AEM Uego along wth AFR management systems

are you in lay man terms trying to say that even if this person here installs some cams, high cr pistons, ported mani and nice custom header then his ecu would "itself" adjust to the fuel requirement it sees? he wouldnt have to do anything?
same goes if he puts on a small turbo kit?

    No i never said that

Have you EVER connected an aftermarket wideband to a stock car? have you recorded what afr it reads in stock form and what it reads after a mod like an intake or exhaust etc?
Yes ex crome user currently using calvin's honda rom editor Ectune (Tuner version with Moates demon) yes i have used wideband 2009-2012(though i have to get my registration string for 2012 which has been expired)
im saying all this because i have DONE this. Its pretty much useless talking sense on pakwheels most of the time because:

1- most people talk internet (see whats written on performance sites and just talk
2- they have never experimented themselves anything on their own

You really think that a noob can copy what i wrote there in the reply from a performance site?
there was a reason that i only quoted a single line in bold letters go through it again
this is the foremost reason i have almost left pakwheels and moved on to much more professional sites available on the net where you atleast try to learn something up. People post things which they have really experimented on and they try to help others out.
this is my 4th year on preludepower and i guess 2nd on H-T i know how u feel lol using k20.org for more than 3-4years makes you think everybody is a noob on pakwheels so you slap them on the face lol but oh well Been there done that and i still do it sometimes

now now take it easy let me simplify it so even you can understand
every ecu is different not every honda toyota ecu works and reacts like a k20 you said it will lean out? no it doesnt lean OUT with an intake it will just start reading from different vacuum cells/columns after installing an intake which will run according to the vacuum it sees this is what i meant now being a k-pro user you know how the afrs are right? how the 02 voltage cycles

while roaming around part throttle and pushing the pedal you realize you start reading from the WOT cells the four cells basically that interpolate each other if that wasn't the case there would have been only be specific cells to read no substitute cells/columns would have been there so they interpolate when i got my RTP i used it on a stock b20Vtec p08 no header oem filter(no intake) no exhaust after adding an intake it started reading from different cells
i use wideband but still i more rely on reading plugs and there is a reason for it
but yeah you are pretty much right - to each their own

Just Relax , i have a 30k AEM Uego wideband which i have`nt look over since 6-8 months . One only needs a very good tuner . Luckily i got a very good one . I swapped over numerous intake filters / plugs / exhaust systems and i did`nt have to retune it every tune . The car was tuned in summer around 6 months back and its been running ever since . A good tuner always keep all the things ( winters / any other changes in mod etc )

I would recommend using the car as it is . But if you are after a few more horses , just get an AFC , borrow a wideband from someone and ask a tuner to tune it .

actually yes, i dont like fwd cars too much.

you have seen how many rwd swaps going on pw recently..

people putting so much effort to restore ol' school. respect tht.

they may not faster because of heavier driventrain, but its a total diffirent feeling.

sorry no offence, but spoonmotor sports parts dont fit in rwd
